What is the difference between the regular flu and Swine flu?

July 9th, 2009 | by burnsai |

Memorable. asked:

there’s no vaccine to either. people die from both. not everyone who has gotten swine flu has died. most people who have died from the disease lived in impoverished areas, were very young or very old and their bodies weren’t strong enough to fight off the disease, didn’t have enough money to take care of themselves properly, or had poor hygiene. Is there really much of a difference between the swine flu and the regular flu? Are people worrying too much over the swine flu?

The flu kills more, the swine flu doesn’t have a vaccine. They’re pretty much the same thing. They both attack the respiratory system.

Actually a lot of teenagers/young adults are being attacked with it, more than expected, so everyones suffereing from it.

People are worrying too much, but there is some reason to worry because nobody knows if it can take a turn to the worst or if there will ever be a vaccine. The strain could mutate and all the medicene that helps kill it might not be able to kill that strain if it mutates.

    So on and so forth.

    So there isn’t much difference.

Its the same as the regular flu but many people are used to reg. flu’s because they’ve had them before and your body’s defences are able to fight off the flu’s viruses.

However with the swine flu, people have never gotten them before so it hits you harder then a regular flu. Also the symptoms are stronger
