People Can Change the People in Government

People can change the people in government
It is an old saying that people get the government they deserve and therefore, it is the duty of the people, especially in a democracy, to elect right type of people to administer their country and if they elect casually, they shall not get right people. We must know that some people have taken this politics as a profession, trade, calling and employment and they spend money in this field and get elected. And once they are elected, they try to become ministers or heads of some corporations or other public or state instrumentalities. When they get power, they start mis-utilizing this power. We have seen in India where people in power are indulging in scams, scandals, muddles, bribes, corruption, taking commissions and that is the reason most of the money allotted for a particular project is not utilized on that project, but is taken away by ministers, officers and the contractors and one of our Prime Ministers had said that one fourth money so allotted goes to the pockets of people supervising the projects and only one fourth money is pent on the project.
If India could not make progress which had been expected during the last six decades, it clearly means, we had not been electing right people to administer us. We had been slaves for centuries and because of this long period we have developed habits of slave people. We are still thinking that only rich people should be on seats of power and a common person is not in a position to take part in elections. We are just voters and we are called once in five years to caste our votes and once votes are taken from us, we are pushed back to suffer for another term of five years of so and since 1947 or so, we are just coming to cast our votes and the people who are candidates are not known to us nor they are people from us and that is the reason they are not committed to work for us and serve us.
We have got no chance to government this country because we have got no money and we are not in a position to fight elections. The people who are candidates are from other groups and that is the reason they could establish family rule, then party dictatorship and then individual autocracy and with great difficulties we could establish this alliance system in India. It still seems we shall be under family rule once again. This shall not be a good thing for us and therefore, some people must come forward and they must tell the people to use this vote system and bring a revolutionary change in the country. We should discard these parties and we should try bring good people forward and first of all we must start from ministers and for that purpose we should pass a law that all political groups should give us shadow cabinets and every member so nominated should get our votes on merits and merits only and once we establish this shadow cabinet system, then these political groups shall not be forwarding wrong people and once this system comes in all ordinary people who are not fit for ministries shall go away. People want to become ministers only and once they lose faith that they would not be appointed as ministers, most of them shall leave this political field and shall be looking other jobs for themselves.
