Gold Panning Methods That Can Be Rewarding
Any ordinary individual who does not know anything about panning for gold can do easy gold panning methods. But were you know that there are methods for gold panning that require intricate processes?
Standard Panning Method
Part of gold panning methods requires the use of standard pans with a diameter measuring 16 inches and depth measuring 2.5 inches. Some may favor smaller pans, particularly for beginners, to simply spot the little bits of gold pieces compared to bigger pans.
However, bigger pans are used when attempting to scour a big area of gravel to be panned. Others may use iron pans because iron turns blue when heated. The gold bits, having a bright luminous yellow color will be easily seen.
A professional gold “panner” having the accuracy and speed can pan up to one cubic yard in a day – only thru the use of gold pan, heater and tweezers. To extract more gold, some folks adopt their own techniques. The strategy discussed above is employed when the gravel is wet. On the other hand, if it is dry, some may use the elements mercury and magnetite. Since the systems are complicated, when gold pieces are few, it may not be worth all the hard work.
The Potato Method
One of the most simple techniques is the “potato method.” this strategy uses the potato plant in removing the gold. When the process uses mercury, the potato is suited to remove this part. Potato can soak up the mercury and the leftover from the mercury-black, sand-gold amalgam will be gold itself. Others may use the nitric acid to clean away the mercury thru heating the water with the amalgam.
Vaporization
Another strategy is to dispose of the mercury through the vaporization, which is known as “retorting.” It uses a pipe-shaped material where the amalgam is placed on one end and the other end is heated.
Depending on the selected gold panning methods, make sure that it is done thoroughly and effectively. Always take care to respect and preserve the environment in which you are panning. And to ensure you have a successful experience, always use the right gold panning tools.

Little Squaw’s Big Gold Potential
Its not often one discovers an OTC-listed mining company that has a board of directors and management team with the caliber and pedigree of Little Squaw Gold Mining Company (OTCBB:LITS).
The president, Richard Walters, besides being a certified professional geologist with the American Institute of Professional Geologists and a Qualified Person as defined in National Instrument 43-101, was also a founder, director, president and chief operating officer of Yamana Resources Inc. the forerunner to Yamana Gold Inc., (TSX:YRI) between December 1994 and March 2000. He also serves as a director and executive vice-president of Marifil Mines Ltd. (TSX.V:MFM).
Rodney Blakestad, the vice-president of exploration, has in his thirty years as a geologist worked with Columbia Metals Corp. (TSX.V:COL), Nevada Star (now Pure Nickel – TSX:NIC), and Robex Resources (now Robex Gold – TSX.V:RBX). He is credited in part with the discovery of the 4 million ounce Fort Knox Gold Mine, now owned by Kinross Gold Corporation (TSX:KGC).
Robert Pate, the company’s vice-president of operations, is also a 30 year veteran of mine operation and mineral exploration having served with Yamana Resources, Freeport Copper (a division of Freeport McMoran – NYSE: FCX) , Coeur d’Alene Mines (NYSE:CDE), and Atlas Precious Metals were he was the chief geologist at the Gold Bar Mine in Nevada. At Freeport, he was a senior supervisor of the huge Grassberg Indonesia copper/ gold mine.
In the board of directors, William Schara is the Chairman, and was the chief financial officer of Minera Andes Inc. (TSX:MAI), a Vancouver-based company bringing a new gold and silver mine into production in Argentina. He is currently the CEO of Nevoro (TSX.NVR), and is also an alumni of Yamana Resources.
The rest of the directors have collectively had stints with Kennecott Corporation (now a division of Rio Tinto PLC – NYSE:RTP), Bond International Gold, Copper Range Corp, Newmont Mining (NYSE:NEM), Revett Minerals (TSX:RVM), and Pegasus Gold Corp (now Apollo Gold – AMEX:AGT). The affiliations with professional associations related to mining are simply too numerous to list here.
So the point is, don’t think of Little Squaw as just another OTC-listed mining deal. This is a powerful, been-there, done-that team of seasoned executives who are unlikely to waste their time on anything less than projects with the strong potential to become mines.
Which brings us to their flagship project, the Chandalar mining district. Bear in mind that the past employment of both management and directors is extremely relevant to this property, in that there is a great deal of history spent on the part of this team in the jurisdiction of Chandalar – Alaska.
This 23 square mile property package has above average potential for underground, open pit, and placer mining operations. Little Squaw owns 100% of the ground, and an independent study by Pacific Rim Geological has drawn comparisons in the geology at Chandalar to, among others, the 38 million ounce Sukhoi-Log mine in Russia, the 7.9 million ounce Natalka mine, also in Russia, the Juneau district in Alaska, which produced over 3 million ounces, Cape Nome, Alaska, which produced over 5 million ounces of placer gold, and Treadwell, Alaska, which produced more than 3 million ounces of gold.
The main hard rock deposits in the Chandalar district are the Mikado Lode, Chandalar-Eneveloe Lode, Summit Lode, and the Little Squaw Lode. Other Lode Gold Prospects in the Chandalar Mining District include the Crystal Vein, Big Squaw Claim, Pioneer Prospect, Drumlummon Prospect, Grubstake Vein, Grubstake East Prospect, Prospector East Prospect, Indicate-Tonapah Lode, Chandalar Vein, Jupiter Vein, Bonanza Vein, Pallasgren Claim, St. Marys Prospect, Star Claim Group, Star No. 3 Claim, Duplex-Triplex Vein, Wildcat Prospect, Jackpot Prospect, Woodchuck Claim, Little Kiska Occurrence, Pedro Prospect, and the Grubstake West Claim Group. Most of these prospects are historic discoveries carrying significant gold values that remain as yet unexplored.
This mineral belt includes such famous deposits as Cominco’s Red Dog zinc mine, the largest zinc deposit in the world, and the prolific Ambler volcanogenic massive sulfide (copper & zinc) district, now controlled by Nova Gold. Prospectors discovered the district about 100 years ago, and its recorded production from placer and lode mines is 84,000 ounces. There has been a substantial but unknown amount of unreported and otherwise secret production. Of the recorded production, 76,000 ounces of gold or about 90 percent of the total was recovered from placer deposits.
Trenching last year produced some excellent results including a 20-foot-wide structure that assayed 10.58 grams per tonne. Drilling has intersected good grades and widths such as 6.1 metres grading 4 grams per tonne gold, 9.1 metres grading 4.7 grams per tonne gold, and 29 metres of just under 1 gram per tonne gold, each of these occurring in three different zones.
An underground channel from the 180–metre-long Little Squaw vein assayed an astounding 89 ounces per tonne of gold.
So there’s a lot of potential here, and the company’s exploration program is getting ramped up for a busy summer.
Besides this primary project, Little Squaw also has two other projects in the western hemisphere in prolific gold producing regions that are politically secure. These include the Broken Hills West property, which is 15 miles north of Gabbs in the Walker Lane Trend in Nevada, which has produced over 50 million ounces of gold so far, and the Pedra de Fogo project in Goias State, Brazil in the middle of a prolific gold mining region.
But these will be the subject of future articles, so keep your eyes open for more information on this little known, but outstanding opportunity.

Ghost Hunting Should Be Professional
Ghost Hunting can be very fun and yet at times it can be one of the most terrifying things you will probably ever do in your life.
The following are just a few of the things folks have encountered during ghost hunting or paranormal investigations:
Smells: These smells can seem to come from no where, and develop instantly and disappear just as fast. The smells are often putrid like rotted meat, or like fresh bowel movements, and are very overpowering at times.
Apparitions: Some spirits appear as barely visible forms, while some become as solid and normal looking as a living person.
Clouds – Mists – Masses: Often fleeting shadows, things seen out of the corners of the eyes are encountered. Or a rolling black mass may appear, sometimes a whispy form like smoke is seen.
Disembodied voices: These are often heard and at times they can be very scary. Imagine being in a darkened room, and having something invisible whisper or even shout in your ear. These are not EVP’s, but normal sounding speech.
Physical Sensations – Some ghost hunters have been touched, pinched, slapped, had their hair pulled, been scratched or even bitten by invisible entities.
Rappings – Scratching – and Knockings: In walls, ceilings and floors. Strange sounds and noises are often heard in haunted locations, as well as hearing what sounds like objects being dropped, or moved in nearby rooms.
Cold spots: Sometimes just before a spirit manifests they draw energy from the surroundings. Often a spot in one area of a room will suddenly become very cold. For example the temperature thoughout a room may average 75 degrees but in one corner or area, the temperature will suddenly plummet to 50 degrees or even colder. This is a sure sign of a spirits presence or a soon manifestation.
Power drains and equipment malfunctions: Like cold spots, when a spirit is drawing energy needed to become solid or more visible, they will often draw-in nearby energy, this energy can also come from batteries in video camers, and other devices. Often cameras, tape recorders, even lights will suddenly go haywire or stop working all together when a spirit is present.
Almost everyone that does ghost hunting believes that there are two types of spirits, human and in-human, the latter are also called demons. I am a born again christian and believe the bible 100%. From my beliefs in the bible as factual. I believe there is only one type of spirit involved in any haunting, and these are in-human or demons.
According to the bible, when we are dead our spirits or souls are present with God, from there we are either granted a life of love and peace in heaven with the creator and the other believers, or we are cast into hell forever, with no chance of escape. The bible also says there is a huge chasm or void that separates the living from the dead, they cannot cross over or communicate with each other. There are other statements in the bible that clearly says that ghosts can not be the spirits or souls of people who have died.
Whether the creatures involved in a haunting are spirits of dead humans or whether they are demons, if one is trying to prove that they truly exist or if you are trying to disprove a haunting, then you must do paranormal investigations as a professional.
A professional Ghost Hunter or paranormal investigator needs to have the right tools. Here I will explain devices that every ghost hunter or paranormal investigator MUST have, if he or she is truly taking the phenomenon as real or as a business, and not as a joke.
Voice Recorder: It doesn’t matter if you use a standard tape recorder or one of the new digital recorders, what does matter is the quality and the ability to use an external microphone. Try to get one that is of good quality, but make sure you get one that has a plug in microphone with a cable or cord so the end of the microphone is away from the recorder. The small all-in-one recorders that have the built in microphones, pick up a lot of the hiss and gear noise from the recorder when they are in record mode. A recorder is a necessity for recording EVP’s. EVP’s also called (electronic voice phenomenom) are a very unique and sometimes frightening thing that is often encountered in a haunted area. What an EVP is, is a voice or other communication that is heard on a tape or digital recorder during playback, that was not heard when the recorder was recording.
Film Camera: Do NOT use a digital camera because the photo will always be questioned as being fake, no matter how good it is, where if you use a film camera, you at least have the negatives as some proof. And unless you buy a high mega-pixel digital camera, the photo quality will be less than a nice cheap 35mm film camera.
Camcorder: A camera is good, but a camcorder is even better. Get one that uses a tape, either the small cassettes or one of the older models that use the full sized VHS tapes. I bought two of these older camcorders for under $75 each recently.
Thermal Imaging scopes or goggles: These capture the upper portion of the infrared light spectrum, which is emitted as heat by objects instead of simply reflected as light. Hotter objects, such as warm bodies, emit more of this light than cooler objects like trees or buildings. Often spirits that manifest have a temperature in their form that stands out in this spectrum, especially if a spirit is present in a cold location.
Night Vision scopes or goggles: These little devices have become very cheap, a nice night vision scope can now be purchased easily for under $200. They work by collecting the tiny amounts of light, including the lower portion of the infrared light spectrum, that are present but may be imperceptible to our eyes, and amplifying it to the point that we can easily observe the image.
Flashlight: Take along two small pocket ones for each team member. What can be worse then exploring a dark cellar or underground area, and having the lights or another flashlight fail.
Walkie Talkies: If you have a group of team members, and you are investigating a large location, walkie talkies are not just a good thing to have, but they can be a life saver at times.
Notebook and pencils: Often any electronic, electrical or other devices may fail in a haunted location, so it’s very wise to carry along a small notebook and some pencils in case you need to keep some valuable notes.
Thermal Scanner: A hand held thermal scanner (thermometer) uses infrared technology to measure the surface temperature of material without touching it. You simply point at your target, pull the trigger and read the temperature on the lit LCD display.
One of the best tools I recommend, is also the cheapest, under $10 U.S. It is a computer software program that is made just for Ghost Hunting and Paranormal Investigations. It’s called ‘Ghost Hunter’. The software is for anyone who explores haunted houses or locations where any type of paranormal activity is occurring. Whether you are trying to gather evidence of the haunting or other proof, this software can help make the job more organized and easier.
Ghost Hunter software was made as a scientific tool, for paranormal researchers that believe in spirits, demons, or ghosts. Researchers can easily keep track of vital data gathered at the haunted locations. With this software you can know at a glance such vital information as; the date and times of the activity, location info, GPS data, telephone numbers, notes, sounds heard, odors detected, temperature anomalies, and more.
You can use the software on location during the investigation with any WINDOWS based notebook Computer or back at home or in the office after the investigation.

Shadow and Self – Silence Speaks!
Do you love ME? Or is it ‘you’ that you love most? Think over this basic question and its answer can drastically change your life. For if you love shadow, all your worships will be to promote shadow and its power and its malice, but if you truly appreciate and love the Being aspect of your self.. you will at once be able to connect to the ‘Being’ aspect of all ‘other’ people and they too will find you quite ‘attractive’ as part of their Being sees itself being reflected.
Your mission is my mission – for Truth is my forte – not shadow’s. Shadow will disappar when truth is revealed. So all those seemingly ordinary people out there – EACH ONE of them is a power house – each one sitting on literally a nuclear bomb equivalent energy. Be a catalyst – ignite it and then let them go. Do not get greedy and put them under ‘you’… but rather motivate them to be their own master. Their INNER GURU is waiting for them.. once they connect, the Being knows what’s best for each of them and not you!
Understand this my dear beloved child – your mission is their revolution – continuous – which means death and re-birth! Death of ego and re-birth of Divine Being! Like you – the process you are going through.. It’s a great competition between Shadow and Self! Whoever wins accordingly future – environment – changes. For the Witness grants all your wishes true – whether of destruction or creation – impartially – as an energy and you being the consciousness.
Debris in your mind – still there – lot of. When you focus on a thought involuntarily just for a moment, be aware of what you are thinking – repeating. Slowly this awareness will ensure you do not fall all the time in such repetitive thought patterns – which are harmful as Shadow controls you through them.
You are a BUNDLE OF THOUGHTS as of now. You need to become an uninterrupted STREAM of CONSCIOUSNESS!

Haunted Lighthouses – The St. Augustine Lighthouse
The St. Augustine Lighthouse sits on the north end of Anastasia Island in St. Augustine, Florida. The current tower, which was built in 1874, rises to 165 feet above sea level. The original lighthouse, built in 1824, was approximately 500 yards northeast of the current lighthouse. Due to the receding shoreline, it fell into the ocean back in 1880.
Throughout its early history, the lighthouse employed up to three lightkeepers at a time. There was a head keeper and two assistants. In 1955, when the lighthouse was automated, there was no longer a need for lightkeepers and the last one left at that time. The lightkeepers, who would actually live on site, were replaced by lamplighters, who would tend the light but didn’t actually live there.
According to the lighthouse’s official website, there have been seven people who have died on the lighthouse grounds: three lightkeepers, a keeper’s wife and three young girls. Several of these are said to have died of natural causes. One man fell to his death from the original lighthouse in 1859, and the three girls died in a tragic drowning accident.
The lighthouse and its surrounding buildings have a long history of paranormal activity and stories of the hautings have been passed on and have been featured in popular television shows, books, and local lore for decades. Visitors and workers say they have seen moving shadows and heard voices along with unexplained sounds. Some tour guides claim they hear someone climbing the tower steps, but the footfalls fade away, and no one is ever there at the top of the tower. There is also said to be a little girl who likes to play pranks residing in the keeper’s house, a tall man in the basement, and a spirit who likes to play with the merchandise in the gift shop. One former keeper was infamous for enjoying his cigars. Today, the scent of his cigar can still be detected several times a week.
Several employees have reportedly seen a hazy male figure walking through the lighthouse. Footsteps from an unseen presence can be heard shuffling on the gravel and the steps outside the lighthouse. Other reports are of a woman seen on the lighthouse stairway or walking in the yard outside the buildings.
Perhaps the most famous tragic story is that of three young girls who died during the construction of the second lighthouse. The story says that there was a rail car or some type of vehicle that went from the light station to the ocean. The children liked to play on it and ride on it for fun. On July 10, 1873, the cart somehow ended up in the water. Five children fell into the water and some of the Workers managed to save a boy and a girl. Two of the constuction superintendent’s daughters, Mary and Eliza, and a young black girl, either a servant or the daughter of a worker, drowned.
It’s said that today, the girls can be heard laughing in the tower late at night. The eldest of the construction superintendent’s daughters, Mary, has also been spotted wearing the same blue velvet dress and blue hair bow she was wearing when she died. Reports also say that the the figures of two little girls can sometimes be seen standing on the lighthouse catwalk.
For years there have been reports of a large dark, male spirit that hangs around the water collecting cisterns in the basement. Supposedly he was a sailor or a former lightkeeper who hung himself in the lighthouse in the 1930′s. According to the lighthouse’s website, there isn’t any proof or evidence that anyone ever hung him/herself there.
History says that the original owner of the lighthouse was forced to sell it to the government in 1865 because it was believed that the land under the lighthouse was receding and the ocean would eventually swallow it. The state offered to buy the lighthouse for alot less than it was worth and he refused to sell. The government then threatened to take the lighthouse via eminent domain and give him nothing. At this point, the former owner was outraged and vowed never to leave the lighthouse. Lighthouse staff say he seems to have kept his vow as his spirit is sometimes seen late at night walking in and around the property.
One of my favorite episodes of Ghost Hunters was filmed at the St. Augustine Lighthouse. The Atlantic Paranormal Society (TAPS) stopped by to see if they could prove or disprove any of the hauntings. During the episode, they caught a few interesting things on both video and audio. There was a female voice that seemed to say “help me” a few times on the audio recording. The video camera captured a dark figure moving really quickly up the circular staircase and then stopping to look over the railing down at the camera crew from the top floor. The figure then disappeared. When Jason and Grant went to investigate, they realized the door at the top which would be the only exit was padlocked from the inside. There was also a motion detection light that never came on until the TAPS guys got up there. Overall, with the evidence they captured, the guys determined that they really couldn’t prove the place wasn’t haunted.
The St. Augustine Lighthouse is currently owned and maintained by the St. Augustine Lighthouse & Museum, Inc. The lighthouse is operational and is is an official, privately-owned, active aid to navigation. The museum is open to the public and the admission price funds preservation of the lighthouse and programs in maritime archaeology and education. The lighthouse offers night tours of the site, though they don’t promise any ghosts.

James Mcdonald Secures Every Advantage for Kootenay Gold
In a meritocracy, the pure, rich cream floats to the top. It’s where people are selected competitively according to merit, talent, motivation and effort, based on the idea that positions of responsibility and prestige should be earned. Kootenay Gold and its team are an example of just that.
CEO and Director James McDonald, at 46, is one of the youngest men in a directorial role in Canadian mining and boasts a track record dating back twenty years. He started as a geologist in 1983 at Noranda. Then he went to work at Hemlo where he met Richard Hughes, the mining legend and brains behind the Hemlo discovery, one of the largest gold discoveries in Canadian history. This experience seems to be the impetus behind his formidable motivation. As McDonald put it in a presentation featured on Kootenay’s website, “I really got bitten by the gold bug at [Hemlo].”
In the late 1990s, working closely with Hughes, McDonald and Albert Matter formed National Gold, secured the Mulatos deposit in Mexico, and joint ventured with Alamos Minerals. McDonald merged the two companies to form Alamos Gold, which opened the Mulatos mine that is still in production today, producing over 100,000 ounces of gold annually.
McDonald had other successes at White Knight, and Genco Resources (currently producing 1,000,000 ounces per year of silver) where he served as President until 2006, when he stepped aside (he remains on board) to focus his efforts on building Kootenay Gold.
“Part of the reason for creating Kootenay Gold,” he said, “is an opportunity to put together a team of people that I had worked with mostly on a contract basis. In this industry it’s not really the properties, it’s the people that are valuable. If you put the good teams together, you’ll get the good properties and you’ll make the discoveries. You’ve got to have those people.”
With Hughes as a director on the board, and McDonald at the helm, they began to pull together key players in the industry and an exploration strategy. McDonald says about forming Kootenay Gold, “There’s a prospecting family that I’d worked with in various companies on various jobs. I was always looking for the opportunity to put them together in a company to form the core of a good exploration company.”
McDonald and his team carefully selected the west Kootenay region because they considered it to be highly prospective, but underexplored. The mineralized belt, on the American side of the border, has produced over 6 million ounces of high grade gold, but on the Canadian side was somewhat untouched. McDonald put the Kennedys – a family of highly skilled prospectors – to work in the Kootenays where they have considerable knowledge. Their findings allowed Kootenay to stake 45 mineralized claims in the area, every one of which is a new discovery.
So, while generating discoveries in BC, Kootenay’s strategy has been to joint venture with junior explorers to help fund and conduct exploration on the properties. The joint venture partners absorb some of the risk to Kootenay and pay Kootenay in cash and stock. The stock, in this resource market, becomes an appreciating asset. In other words, it’s a win-win situation for Kootenay.
The best development for Kootenay Gold in the Kootenay area so far has been the Jumping Josephine project, which is a joint venture with Astral Mining Corp. Astral has the right to earn a 60% interest in the property. Recent drilling on Jumping Josephine reported on July 12, 2007, returned 19 m of 7.01 g/t gold, including 5 m at 16.42 g/t gold. In an interview with Stanley Hunt on Smartstox Talk Show, McDonald explained the potential at Jumping Josephine. “It’s a high grade system…They’re on round two of the drilling now. Personally, I think they’re starting to drill off a resource now. This started out as a raw prospect. We’ve got an advanced project down in Mexico, which has been our lead project, but this is catching up.”
Northern Mexico has been Kootenay’s major focus. Using the philosophy that it is critical to select properties well and then commit time, work and money, McDonald and his team saw opportunity in Mexico. Their belief is that northern Mexico has potential similar to Nevada in the 1980s – a period that led to Nevada becoming the third largest gold producer in the world.
McDonald said authoritatively, “Mexico is already the number two silver producer in the world. It’ll retake its number one position probably in another year. It’s going to become a major gold producer and you can also expect to see a lot of base metals, copper, lead, zinc coming out of Mexico as well in new discoveries.”
He points out that in a 250 km stretch, through the area where Kootenay has staked 500,000+ hectares, there have been five new mines opened in the last six years, with another two currently under construction and two more in the feasibility stage. In that time, the area has boasted the discovery of 15 million ounces of gold and 480 million ounces of silver.
In Mexico, once again, Kootenay has found an edge. Several edges actually. Kootenay hired a Brit named Dr. Tony Starling and his company Telluris Consulting Ltd. to conduct satellite imagery and interpretation of the geological structures over a vast area of land. Starling has spent fourteen years in Mexico working with some of the biggest names in mining.
McDonald explains, “He’s developed a process, an analysis that allows him to identify mineral systems from the satellite imagery.” The technology works by measuring the various wavelengths of reflected light to identify mineral systems, McDonald explained. “If you’re doing it without a lot of skill and experience you get a lot of things that are not associated with minerals…You get a lot of red herrings.” Based on results to date, McDonald says, Starling has about a 90% accuracy rate. “And that makes things suddenly very efficient, rather than running around, looking at hundreds of targets, the vast majority of which have nothing to do with mineral systems. We’re now going in here and I would say it’s about a 90% success ratio.”
For Kootenay, the result is that they were able to identify more than 30 mineralized systems over approximately 180,000 square km area, which “allowed us to very quickly tie up a lot of prospective ground in Mexico.”
Leveraging another advantage – a relationship with the skilled and powerful in mining –Kootenay’s exploration efforts were funded by Richard Hughes through Klondike Silver. Klondike earned the right to choose six properties from Kootenay’s claim package. Ken Berry, President of Kootenay Gold, says “Richard Hughes has a tremendous confidence in Jim McDonald’s ability to identify mineral projects as well as grow a company. Because of that confidence level, Richard Hughes has been able to offer Kootenay joint venture support through Klondike Silver and Amador.”
So Kootenay has the people, the connections, the properties, the technology, the land positions, and the financial structure. SmartStox host Stanley Hunt prompted McDonald to point out the advantage Kootenay has in Mexico and McDonald obliged, “We’ve built up a big infrastructure in Mexico. We’ve got a regional office there. We’re way up on the learning curve. We know the ropes down there. For somebody to go in brand new into Mexico, it’s going to take them quite a few months and a lot of dollars to get established like we are. They’ll be there well over a year getting established, just to get going. We are optioning properties there. They can have a property and get going in a month by doing a deal with Kootenay Gold.”
Kootenay’s major project in Mexico right now is its flagship, advanced-stage, 100% owned, Promontorio silver project. Historic data on Promontorio show individual holes with 1 kg of silver over 5 m, 10 m, 15 m and an average silver grade of 367 g/t. Historic reports also cite widths of 20 m on average. McDonald is optimistic about the width, “you’re going to have a low cost if you’re able to find a deposit with that kind of width.” Hughes is similarly positive. In a recent presentation he stated unequivocally, “That Promontorio, by the way, is a potential company builder. And as Chad Buckland, who couldn’t be with us today, said – he’s a broker and a geological engineer – “That’s the kind of property that could really make a company. That gives a company the multi-dollar exposure… And so I think you’ve got a great project.”
Investors seem to agree. Kootenay stock has been climbing steadily over the last month from below a dollar to above the dollar and a quarter mark.

Awareness Vs Focus
There is a subtle difference in perception between focusing on something and being aware of it. When most people think of focus, concentration and similar words, they generally tend to associate force or pressure, some type of concerted effort with the process being described. Focus and concentration imply strain and fatigue. There is a mental limit on how much can be done based on some type of endurance.
Awareness on the other hand is a much more open and free flowing word. It implies a knowing without much thought or effort. The information is there and accessible but it does not require much to get to it. Awareness doesn’t take energy like holding a pen steady, it only requires mental attention. You can stay aware of something as long as you desire or until you become distracted.
When working with meditation, non thought, psychic techniques and such, it is better to think of using awareness than focus or concentration.
In Kenpo, there was a concept used called black dot and white dot focus. If you imagine a black square with a white dot in the center, you will notice that you tend to get tunnel vision, only observing the white circle. The black tends to fade away ad you become drawn into the circle.
If you instead imagine a white square with a black circle in the center, you will be more aware of the surroundings and not become so fixated on the black circle as you were with the white circle.
Awareness is the same thing. We have a chosen item but it does not preclude awareness of other things surrounding this item. However, we can also choose to not be aware of our surroundings as is done in meditation. We hold our awareness on the chakra but allow everything else to fade away so we can trap the attention, which will cause us to shift into another vibration.
Awareness is not something to be forced. When concentrating on the chakra, do not attempt to block anything out, simply hold your awareness of the chakra and remove your awareness from all else. Simply do not give anything else your attention. Awareness is an energy that moves out from your body. You can retract it with your consciousness. Allow your awareness to more fully move into the space of chakra without the distractions of the body, the brain and the environment. When this is done properly and for a long enough time, this is the skill you are developing, you will jump into experiences with regularity.
