Airfare Questions:

Can i please have your response to a survey about today’s airfares?

I’m trying to get responses to my survey but haven’t had much luck on myspace and facebook. My course ends soon (01/09/2009) and your participation would be a great help to me.

I only need to get 200 good responses and it takes approximately 3 minutes to complete the 13 questions. Plus I’ve attached a printable coupon reward for you at the end!

I created the questions on the link to surveymonkey bellow.

Your survey seems to solicit Frequent Flier Miles (FFM) influence in a passenger’s choice of Airlines. In my experience FFM value has deteriorated significantly in the past decade. I was a Platinum member of KLM/NW for 5 years and United for two years. There was a time just being a valued member would guarantee an upgrade if possible. Then it just became an opportunity to get free tickets based on limited availability.

Being based in Singapore most of my flights are Intercontinental either to Europe or USA. I will experience discounts up to 40% by shopping the ticket cost. In June I flew to Moncton Canada for the National Science Foundation. Do to their commerce rules they had to purchase an economy ticket through a US Airline. It cost them near USD 6,000. I could have flown Business Class for $4,500. if they would have let me book it through a foreign Airline. Economy would have been about $1,500.

I did your survey but I think you can get better response if you get some of your friends to join you and do the survey in person in a major airport.

Good Luck.
