How much spending money do I need for one week in bali?

I’ve just booked for to go to bali for one week in july. We booked accomodation and airfares ourselves and got them for much cheaper than we’ve been quoted by travel agents.. go us Anyway I’m just wondering how much money people take with them when they go away. We’ve already got our accomodation (breakfast inc daily), so all we need to pay for is for is lunch and dinner everyday, and tours, taxis etc and shopping. We’re staying 4 nights in South Kuta, and 3 nights in Ubud. So those of you that have been to Bali, how much money do you think I need?? Should I take more than $500 AUD??

Spent a number of days in Bali last year – some business, some pleasure. Sounds like you are NOT a luxury, first class-type tourist (I am NOT), so I think $500-700 AUD would be fine as long as you have an ATM card, just in case (they are EVERYWHERE).
