Airfare From Chicago To London

airfare from chicago to london
Sonisphere Festival Journal – Knebworth, England
It’s taken more years than I want to count, but I’m finally on my way to a genuine heavy metal/hard rock festival done Anglo-European style – meaning extended days, massive camping, multiple stages, general admission, and mammoth audiences and energy.

Question about travel agents!?

So with the way the economy is, i’ve been told to look into travel agents to see if they can get me a cheaper rate. My boyfriend lives in London, i’m from Chicago. Therefore meaning I don’t have to worry about anything but airfare, however the prices of airfare are ridiculous. Would going to an agent for cheap airfare be cheaper than what I would get online, or would I be wasting my time going to one?

There are 2 kinds of airfares —
1. Published — direct from airline or travel agent, including any sale fares that happen to be going on when you need to fly
2. Unpublished — also known as “consolidator” fares.
Used to be that only travel agents could get you consolidator fares.

With the web, access to both has essentially cut out the need for TAs for simple roundtrip airfares in most cases. You need to know where to look, and you need to be flexible. I’d use these tools to find the best for this trip:

http://www.bookingbuddy.com — when you have specific dates in mind
http://www.cheapflights.com/flights-to-london/chicago/ — showing cheapest offers from consolidators, student sites, and published and sale fares direct from airlines
http://www.farecompare.com/fare-search/year.html?type=homepage2&departure=CHI&destination=LON&t=r&s=r#Select_Month — to monitor any changes on published fares with this route.

With these sources, and being flexible, I think you’ll find the absolute best offers for CHI-LON round-trip airfares.
