how do you go about getting bereavement fares from the airlines when booking online?

will be needing to travel to a funeral in the very near future and am finding airfares a bit much right now. online sites give no option to request a bereavement rate. any advice or tips on how to get them will be appreciated

Most airlines do not give bereavement fares anymore. You can usually find the lowest possible fare by shopping around. if you find one to give a bereavement discount, that discount would not be from the lowest fare you can find, it would be from the “regular” fare.
