Many beginning meditators will complain of the lack of anything interesting happening when they sit down to meditate. They hear stories about awesome experiences that occur when others meditate and this is often one of the things that motivates people to begin meditating. They desire these same experiences. When you sit down to meditate, pay close attention to the subtle. Pay attention to the feelings and impressions you get. In the beginning, this is where the meat lies. Don’t expect crazy lights and black holes, pay attention to how things feel. The things that seem out of the ordinary. These are the experiences that will open your brain to more profound experiences down the road. ou are learning to navigate foreign spaces that your consciousness does not recognize.
Just sit and relax, keep your mind clear, and let whatever is going happen to you, happen. Don’t try to expect something in particular or box what starts to happen into a preconception of what you think it should be.

Cheap airfare needed to attend funeral?
I just found out this afternoon that one of my good friends was killed in a car accident last night. The funeral will be sometime this week in Florida, and I’m looking for cheap airfare to get down there. (I’m in Tennessee.)
I know the airlines have bereavement rates for family members. Is there any airline that has discounted rates even if you are not family?
Does anyone have any advice on finding a cheap rate? I’ve checked most of the travel websites with no luck. =(
Any help is greatly appreciated. Even if someone felt compelled to donate some frequent flier miles???

And once you do purchase a ticket, make sure to carefully read the fine print associated with additional fees if they require a fee for checked bags, try to stick to a carry-on. If they charge a fee for food during the flight, bring your own.
If neither the highways nor the airlines will get you where you need to go at a reasonable price, check out your options by rail while a bit pricey, train travel can be significantly more economical (albeit more time consuming) than either of the other two travel standards.

Man is Made in God’s Image? not in the Way You Think

Many people are familiar with the passage in the Bible that says that, ‘God created man in his own image’. When people hear this they immediately project human ideas on a non-human entity. They assume that this passage means that God has arms and legs, a head, a mouth, two eyes, etc. At the same time they will tell you that God is ever present, in all places at once. Obviously you cannot have a bodily form with spatial limits and also be omnipresent. What people fail to realize is that we are made in the image of God in a much more interesting but different way.
This universe you see around you is the body of God in this dimension. God exists in many dimensions simultaneously. If you could get far enough away from the Universe and looked back, it would look like one big thing. The same as a galaxy or a planet or an island or a person. But if you zoomed into any one of these things you would find they are actually made of up many smaller things.
Take a person, they look like on being, but if you zoom in, that person is actually made up of trillions of cells, living organisms that are independent life forms in their own right. Cells from your body can be taken out and grown in a petri dish and have no ill effects as long as they are fed. They can live for years without you being anywhere near them.
Look at the Earth. From space it looks like a blue ball. One thing. But zoom in far enough and you see a whole world of activity that was unnoticeable before. This is a concept know as micro/macro. The large mimics the small and the small mimics the large. The only difference is scale. But if you compare scales, you find that the bacteria on your arm compares to the size of you in the same way that you compare to the size of the planet. We are so tiny it is as if we are the bacteria of the planets surface. Zoom out and that huge blue ball becomes like bacteria among the other stars in our galaxy.
This is what is meant by being made in the image of God. We are a microcosm of the larger whole. God is one thing made of up smaller things, which are made up of even smaller things, on and on down the line until you reach the quantum level where everything becomes energy again. We are made in the same way, we are one thing made up of even smaller things. All of these things work together to create one synergy of being and shared experience.
It is also true to say that we are made in the Image of God because we, like God, are made up holographically. A hologram contains all the information of the whole in each part. Every cell in your body contains the entire blueprint for you body. In the same way, every division of energy in the Universe contains all the information of the rest of Universe. All is one.
It is a bad idea to project human ideas and human thinking onto spiritual concepts because they tend to get muddled up with our preconceptions and expectations. In order to be open to learning, you must take a position of “not knowing” and seek the answers out. If you assume you know what they will be, then why does your search end in vain?

Fly to Nashville. Reason for that is that Knoxville is only served by regional airlines that fly for the legacy carriers like Continental, Delta, United, and American. Those air fares will be a lot higher than flying into Nashville where the Legacy carriers themselves fly into. Nashville also has a lot of regional service, but you will find cheaper fares to there.
Also, Southwest serves Nashville. You can probably get either a non-stop from California to Nashville, or have very few connections and the air fare will be a lot cheaper.
I’ve lived in Nashville for a long enough time to know!

Panning Gold, Prospecting And Playing In The Creek

It took me over 32 years to find one of the coolest hobbies I have ever done! Gold panning can be one of the neatest things you can do! The first time I went panning was about 3 months ago. Me and my dad decided to go to Dahlonega, Ga for our first prospecting experience. It took about 3 hours to get there from Alabama and we were shocked!
Atlanta has spread all the way into Dahlonega and there were houses on every block. We drove around for a few minutes and finally found their empty lake. It was a great idea; people have probably never been to some areas in many years! The levels were super low and we instantly felt the importance of water.
We parked at the doc and walked down the lake side and found a really nice outcropping of Quart. We pecked around for awhile hoping to find a Gold band. We ended up walked about a mile down the lake and turned around and decided to leave. We drove east of Dahlonega and found a really nice flowing stream.
As soon as I got in the stream I could see that there were many different kinds of rock and minerals in the water. I sunk the pan in and pulled it up and let the water wash the top sand off. That is when I saw this very pretty yellow on the bottom of the pan. I screamed “I found gold!” My dad come over and he laughed and said that is fools gold. It was everywhere and if you tried to break it would crumble apart. We didn’t find any Gold but we did have a fun day and got to see a very awesome river for a short time!
If you didn’t know about gold here is a little info to get you started.
First, is a very heavy yellow metal. It has a specific gravity of 19.3 which means a quart of gold would weigh 19.3 times as much as a quart of water. As a comparison, lead has a specific gravity of about 11 so gold is almost twice as heavy as lead.
Malleable and Ductile. It can be hammered so thin that 250,000 sheets would be one inch high! One ounce can be drawn into a wire thirty five miles long.
Gold is never found pure in nature. It is usually alloyed with copper, silver and/or platinum.
Gold is so heavy it will act differently than the other material. So if you pan correctly it will stay in the bottom of your Pan!
Gold has a shiny structure and looks about the same in and out of the light.
Not sure you if you found gold? Take a hammer and if it breaks, you’re out of luck. If it is Gold It will bend and not break!
Not recommended for beginners -get some Nitric acid and drop it in there. If it doesn’t react then you may have Gold! Nitric acid is dangerous if it gets on you or you breathe the fumes it can hurt you! Research how to use it!
Where to find gold
1. A Stream passes through many miles of different minerals.
2. The density is ten times that of common sand! Therefore it naturally falls to the lower place in a stream.
3. A new supply can be found annually. Spring showers always wash new Gold down creek.
4. Being on the river can be a way to spend day.
5. It can be hard to get on properties these days, stick to public bridges. We do have the right of way in the streams!
6. The placer gold sometimes may lead a trail to the mother lode. If you find it you may never have to work again!
Which Streams contain gold?
There are 4 characteristics that you need to find gold!
1. The Stream can not be damned and flow freely.
2. You need to have rich mineral content in the area.
3. The creek needs enough elevation to churn in spring floods.
4. Stream path and rock formations facilitate the deposition of the dense materials (gold, lead, iron, mercury etc.)

I have read that if you find black sand that is a great place to look for Gold! Another place to look is around a big rock or by an old log! That is where you may find a nice nugget that has been hiding for years!

It took me over 32 years to find one of the coolest hobbies I have ever done! Gold panning can be one of the neatest things you can do! The first time I went panning was about 3 months ago. Me and my dad decided to go to Dahlonega, Ga for our first prospecting experience. It took about 3 hours to get there from Alabama and we were shocked!
Atlanta has spread all the way into Dahlonega and there were houses on every block. We drove around for a few minutes and finally found their empty lake. It was a great idea; people have probably never been to some areas in many years! The levels were super low and we instantly felt the importance of water.
We parked at the doc and walked down the lake side and found a really nice outcropping of Quart. We pecked around for awhile hoping to find a Gold band. We ended up walked about a mile down the lake and turned around and decided to leave. We drove east of Dahlonega and found a really nice flowing stream.
As soon as I got in the stream I could see that there were many different kinds of rock and minerals in the water. I sunk the pan in and pulled it up and let the water wash the top sand off. That is when I saw this very pretty yellow on the bottom of the pan. I screamed “I found gold!” My dad come over and he laughed and said that is fools gold. It was everywhere and if you tried to break it would crumble apart. We didn’t find any Gold but we did have a fun day and got to see a very awesome river for a short time!
If you didn’t know about gold here is a little info to get you started.
First, is a very heavy yellow metal. It has a specific gravity of 19.3 which means a quart of gold would weigh 19.3 times as much as a quart of water. As a comparison, lead has a specific gravity of about 11 so gold is almost twice as heavy as lead.
Malleable and Ductile. It can be hammered so thin that 250,000 sheets would be one inch high! One ounce can be drawn into a wire thirty five miles long.
Gold is never found pure in nature. It is usually alloyed with copper, silver and/or platinum.
Gold is so heavy it will act differently than the other material. So if you pan correctly it will stay in the bottom of your Pan!
Gold has a shiny structure and looks about the same in and out of the light.
Not sure you if you found gold? Take a hammer and if it breaks, you’re out of luck. If it is Gold It will bend and not break!
Not recommended for beginners -get some Nitric acid and drop it in there. If it doesn’t react then you may have Gold! Nitric acid is dangerous if it gets on you or you breathe the fumes it can hurt you! Research how to use it!
Where to find gold
1. A Stream passes through many miles of different minerals.
2. The density is ten times that of common sand! Therefore it naturally falls to the lower place in a stream.
3. A new supply can be found annually. Spring showers always wash new Gold down creek.
4. Being on the river can be a way to spend day.
5. It can be hard to get on properties these days, stick to public bridges. We do have the right of way in the streams!
6. The placer gold sometimes may lead a trail to the mother lode. If you find it you may never have to work again!
Which Streams contain gold?
There are 4 characteristics that you need to find gold!
1. The Stream can not be damned and flow freely.
2. You need to have rich mineral content in the area.
3. The creek needs enough elevation to churn in spring floods.
4. Stream path and rock formations facilitate the deposition of the dense materials (gold, lead, iron, mercury etc.)

Two Historical Shadows
The Quran mentions two important Historical Shadows; one of them is the Shadow for Moses and the Israelites and the other is the Shadow for The people of the Prophet “Shu’aib” and their grievous day of punishment.

Some facts about the Shadow:
Allah extends the shade; if He pleases He would certainly have made it stationary and then have made the sun an indication of it. Scientifically speaking, the shade will be stationary when the Earth stops its circular movement about itself. In such case, half of the Earth will be day and the other will be night.
So, the sun is the indicator for such event. Who could do that? It is Allah the Creator of the Sun.
Surah 25:45
Have you not considered (the work of) your lord, how he extends the shade? And if he had pleased he would certainly have made it stationary; then we have made the sun an indication of it
All things that Allah has created have their shadows and prostrate unto Him.
Surah 16:48
Have they not observed all things that Allah hath created, how their shadows incline to the right and to the left, making prostration unto Allah, and they are lowly?
Surah 16:81

Surah 13:35
