You do not need to go to college to learn how to book cheap airline tickets
Tony Morrison must have had a terrible experience as a travel agent with his boss! He is so upset that he has decided to get sweet revenge by exposing many secrets, that we as lay people, are unaware off and has even gone to the extent of publishing a book,†Save on Airfare Secretsâ€. This book is an awesome revelation as he digs up a lot of inside information on how airlines rake in their profits at the expense of gullible customers like you and me. You could be in for a rude shock when you read his book, which explains how to book cheap airline tickets.
Since Tony Morrison has an insight into the working of airline companies as a Travel Agent, he has a better knowledge of how the system works. He gives invaluable information about general discounts, which are hidden, from the traveler. One can actually benefit and buy discounted travel luggage etc. Did you know that you could avail of free car and rental service with your airline ticket?
It is necessary for us, in these hard times, to arm ourselves with sufficient knowledge, especially when it is freely available for us in cyberspace. One lives and learns every day and if we have guides that teach us how to book cheap airline tickets and learn to use our budgeted tickets for great vacations, why should we miss out on this opportunity and pay through our nose?
The book also reveals twelve tricks that could be sneaky but get you thousands off your airline price. Use the information available to earn free travel rewards even if you have never flown! If you were told you could get up to 75% off on your international ticket, what would you do?  Try downloading the book and understand how airline corporations make a killing with the airfares. Be one-step ahead when you learn how to book cheap airline tickets. You do not have to be a scholar to learn how to beat the system, if it involves a considerable saving.
If you could learn how to gain free vouchers and ask the travel agent pertinent questions that can get you five vacation packages for the price of one, what would be your reaction? Tony Morrison can teach you a thing or two on how to book cheap airline tickets.

How do I search for companion airfare?
What is the best site to find companion airfare or companion airline tickets? Is there one always available for somebody to search? Do specific airline sites (e.g. Delta) have them? Are they really worth it, or do they jack the price up so much that you are better paying for two of the separately? I have typed in companion airfare, Southwest Airlines companion airfare, and companion airfare from Birmingham, AL. They were done in separate searches but nothing gave me a good solid answer.

10 Tips when traveling by car with Children
With the rising prices of airfares and the increasing time it takes to get through security at the airports; more and more families are choosing to travel by car for their holiday. Many of us with young children are going back to the days we grew up in where we travelled most places by car with our parents.
We began asking other friends for how they make the trip go more comfortable and how they got around the “Are we there yets?”, here’s ten tips to make your car holiday go a good deal smoother:
1. Choose if your children do better in the early morning or evening hours for traveling? Which ever it is design your travelling to match, for this, our children don’t journey well in the morning they do a lot better if we depart after 2:00pm and drive into the evening.
2. Equip your car with favorite pre-bagged snacks for everybody, even adults, a cooler with plenty of water and favorite drinks, colored pencils, crayons, a few coloring books, sticker books, travel games, and a travel diary for older kids.
3. Bring along Gameboys & games, personal CD/DVD players (even for small children), and you can get books on cd from the library.
4. Do think about a portable DVD player, this makes 5 or 6 hour a day feel like 2 hours. It also cuts down a lot of the unneeded stops as the children are involved in the movie.
5. To head off the trouble of dragging in a traveling bag for every person into a hotel for the 1 night stops. Take a 3 day bag into which each person imparts 3 days worth of clothes. This way you carry one traveling bag of clothes in every three days.
6. Do carry a lightweight table cloth for outside lunch breaks along the way.
7. Make certain to remember the digital camera you’ll create lifetime memories.
8. Do acquire postcards from every major destination along the journey.
9. All children are different but in general they don’t drive as far as the adults can go in one day, try to keep car travel to a 6 to 8 hour range of time.
10. Don’t fill the interior of the car to the brim making less space for the children, rather consider a car topper for safe keeping of your belongings.
Have a peachy family holiday.

Searching for good advice from savey Costa Rica travelers?
We are considering taking an inexpensive vacation to Costa Rica in late March. Being rather independent and valuing our privacy at times, should we avoid the package deals and rent a car? We recently returned from Crete, where we stayed in a historical villa in a small village, and were able to explore as needed once we got use to the roads/stick shift,ect.. We want to hike in the rainforest and see the best of Costa Rica for $2000- $3000 including airfare, but not necessarily meals.. Two meals a day are more than adequate, and 7-10 days would be about right. We don’t particularly care about the beaches but want to see the volcano, butterflies and exotic flora/fauna/animals. It will be our 7th anniversary, and we are in our mid-50′s , so nothing TOO strenuous. Any suggestions, itineries, recommendations towards places to stay, tour, or eat, will be very much appreciated. We LOVE nature, natives, walking, coffee and chocolate!
We went on our honeymoon and had a great time. we rented a car – (a very rugged jeep and took out full insurance on the car so we would not have to worry about scratches)it was AWESOME
I would advise this route –
start at Arenal Volcano area – we stayed at http://www.tabacon.com/
we took an excursion on a little river boat and saw so much wildlife. this area is LOADED with natural hotsprings – it is just amazing.
Drive to Cloud Forest, Monteverde. We stayed at http://www.fondavela.com/
we did a canopy tour. This area is so cozy and you will truly feel like you are in the middle of nowhere but it is beautiful. It is the rainforest
Finally drive to Jaco area, we stayed at
http://www.centralamerica.com/cr/hotel/caletas.htm
you will be a short drive to Manuel Antonio which has a beautiful conservation park with tour guides. The park is the most famous in the country. And Jaco is a cute little beach town even if you do not go in the water.
By doing this you will see all CR has to offer – the volcano part, the rainforest, and the beachy part.
Even if you do not stay at these hotels, you can use them as a way to map out the trip and stay at less expensive ones
Three Countries, One Airfare!
What is it about the unknown that makes it, at times, seem so exciting? Is it the thought of standing at the foot of where the ocean breaks, staring up on the crescent moon and wondering what is on the other side of it? I often find myself thinking about visiting the far side of the world; places like Australia, Fiji and New Zealand for starters.
With flights heading out to Australia from LA, you can catch some Z’s and wake up literally on the other side of the planet! With its over 2.9 million square miles of land, this country is filled with history, underwater treasures and, for the nature lover, some of the most amazing creatures to ever roam the wild. If you’re a wine lover, or one that occasionally enjoys a nice glass, Australia, with its average temperature of 67F (19C), has some of the world’s best Chardonnay. Some major spots to visit might be a no-brainer but as simply obvious as it might be to some, the Great Barrier Reef is not a simple attraction.
The largest coral reef system in the world is composed of 2900 individual reefs and 900 islands stretching approximately 133,000 square miles. If the mere size is hard to comprehend, take into account that you can see this massive structure from outer space!
Fiji, a skip and a jump from Australia, is an island nation in the South Pacific and another major stop of interest for the adventurer. Consisting of 322 islands, the islands are mountainous with peaks of up to 1300 meters and are covered with tropical forests; thus making it a haven for the outdoorsman who likes hiking. Located on Fiji is the Yasawa Group, where one of Fiji’s most famous resorts lies, Nanuya Levu also known as Turtle Island. The name might sound a bit familiar to those of you 1980 movie buffs, the filming of The Blue Lagoon was shot there; so if Hollywood has known about this place for 20 plus years, it must be worth checking out.
Then there is New Zealand. The indigenous Maori (the people of New Zealand) named this country Aotearora, which translates to The Land of the Long White Cloud. This ‘cloud’ island country has got nothing to be ‘gloomy’ about. Located about 1250 miles southeast of Australia across the Tasman Sea, New Zealand is a cornucopia of nature and beauty. This country has a wide area of mountains, and of course that ‘little’ barrier reef. Some of the most breath taking mountains are located here, such as the Southern Alps that reach 12,320 feet. Volcanoes are also located in New Zealand, some of which are active, like Mount Ruapehu which stands 9,177 feet.
Any one of these countries are worth at least putting on your radar for your next trip, but all three? With the economy woes, can any regular person afford to go and ink up their passport? What if I was to tell you that you could fly to all of these places for as little as $1199? This is not longer just something to read about, you can actually experience it.
Take life a little bit less seriously and find those answers that have been bothering your soul. 3 countries for the price of one air pass…it’s like the Euro Rail, only in the air.

Ryanair Working on $6 Standing Room Only Fares
Ryanair’s CEO has been quoted saying “we’ve been looking at … taking out the last 10 rows of seats so we will have 15 rows of seats and the equivalent of 10 rows of standing area.” Ryanair has acknowledged that this idea has advanced to the point where it has had consultations with Boeing on the idea.
European safety officials have responded to the idea of standing room only passengers saying that it is extraordinarily unlikely that European safety regulators would approve of such a concept. It was also pointed out that Ryanair’s vertical seat proposal has not been officially submitted. Stand up “seating” would necessitate changes to European rules for the certification of planes.
When contacted about Ryanair’s proposal Boeing responded that it is not considering standing only accommodations and has no plans to do so. Boeing noted that stringent regulatory requirements, including seats capable of withstanding a force of 16 Gs preclude stand up seating. None of the information currently available on this subject indicated what the traveler’s perspective on this subject is. Ultimatel, even if the red tape is cleared, it is unlikely that the traveling public will jump on the bandwagon to take such flights.
Several travel experts believe that Ryanair stand up seating proposal is a hoax aimed at generating extremely valuable free publicity all over the world. Ryanair has a reputation for speculating publicly about outlandish money saving schemes. While the thought of the a super low price is interesting, it is very hard to believe there could be a $6 flight anywhere. Packages cost more than this, and they don’t take up as much space.

Hawaii Tourism Suffers as Airfares Rise
Fewer tourists are traveling to Hawaii and their combined spending decreased last month as steeper airfares discouraged people from visiting the islands, according to state statistics released Thursday.
The number of Hawaii cruise visitors plunged due to the departure of the Pride of Hawaii, and because the Pride of Aloha made just one voyage in May, her last in the islands.
Visitor expenditures dropped 2.9%, or $26.7 million, in May compared to the same month last year because fewer passengers flew to the islands, according to the Department of Business, Economic Development and Tourism. Arrivals dipped 6.4%, or 549,017 people, last month.
Daily spending increased to $185 per person compared to $179 per person in May 2007.
There were 56.9% fewer tourists arriving in Hawaii by cruise ship — only 5,382 visitors for the month. Only three out-of-state cruise ships visited the islands in May compared to seven in the same
“May statistics are better than anticipated, especially since it is the first month to report the effects of the loss of two home-ported cruise ships and increased airfares,” said state tourism liaison Marsha Wienert. “Increased marketing efforts in our base market, U.S. West, will help stimulate demand for summer travel.”
Over the first five months of this year, total expenditures by visitors who arrived by air increased 3.2% to $4.94 billion even as total arrivals by air decreased 1.1% to 2,918,580.
Tourism from Japan was down 6.2% in May, while 13.7% more people are arriving from Canada.
“We continue to be pleased with the performance of the Canada and other Asia markets and anticipate further growth especially in the China market be cause Chinese are now able to visit the U.S. as leisure group travelers,” Wienert said.
The first group of Chinese leisure travelers visited Hawaii this week under a new agreement between the U.S. and China.
Trips from the U.S. West and East also fell, with the steepest decline coming from 19.3% fewer visitors from California.
Airfare Questions:
Why has airfare risen so dramatically?
I’m looking to travel roundtrip to NYC from Minneapolis over spring break. About a month ago, it was $280 and now for the same departure it’s risen to around $450-500. Do prices rise due to the holiday time?
yes, the holidays.
The airlines will also blame the ‘Economic Crisis’ but thats just an excuse.
It may also be because a lot of seats have sold at the time you want to fly. It may just be a shrotage of seats.
