Cheap Flights to Lahore

Apart from exploring the website of the national carrier of Pakistan which is Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) for cheap flights to Lahore from the United Kingdom it may be worth considering reliable portals of travel agents – here again, you would be saving precious time – you would not need to go personally to the travel agents’ office. From the comfort of his library or the hostel dormitory, a student would be able to make comparisons in prices for various airlines going to Lahore, on different days, choice of different airlines so that the concerned student could make his choice depending on his priorities and on his budget.

Generally the fare on airline like British Airways would be a little more than Pakistan International Airlines (PIA). The advantage of accessing a web based portal would be that a student would have fares available from different airlines as compared to the website of a specific airline which obviously would give details of the fare only for that carrier thus limiting the choice to the student.

For flights to Lahore, since it is not as big an airport such as the capital Islamabad or Karachi, one may have to take a flight to Karachi and then a connecting domestic flight on Pakistan International Airlines to Lahore but the portal would offer you the fare till the ultimate destination which in this case is Lahore. So if the budget is the top priority which will be for most students, it should not matter too much as it will involve some hours of traveling but ultimately the student will be able to save some precious money which he could use maybe for buying some gifts for his friends and relatives and making them happy.

Today Lahore has become a bustling, cosmopolitan city and that is why more locals and tourists are traveling there. When this happens naturally airlines are able to offer better prices on a flight to Lahore.  Cheaper prices can be offered when there are higher volumes and ultimately profits can be derived on lower sales but on greater volumes. All this makes it beneficial to the customer as well – so it is a win-win situation for both, the airline or the travel agent and the customer as well.

Apart from students who obviously be traveling to their hometown Lahore on a mostly annual basis, the number of tourists also visiting Lahore have also been steadily increasing – no doubt Lahore has a rich history and culture but also it has become a modern city with an important place in world affairs, It may not be the capital like Islamabad but similar to the place Mumbai holds in India (cosmopolitan and economically thriving) as compared to the capital New Delhi. Lahore is one city in Pakistan where you can really soak the culture of Pakistan.

What is the cheapest way to get to Italy?

I am a poor college student! I have a friend doing a semester abroad and I want to go visit him for spring break. I have been to a lot of travel websites and student discount travel websites. Direct flights are way to expensive, so I need a cheap flight to Europe, then a rail pass to get to Italy. What do you recommend?
I am planning on going in March.

I have found tickets for as cheap as $550 USD on student travel discount sites.

I go to school in the Southwest US. I can travel the El Paso, Denver, or Las Vegas pretty easily.

The cheapest flights from the US to Europe are in the off-season (early December, late January) and start from 600 USD roundtrip from New York to London. From the westcoast anything under 900 USD return is a good deal.

April is high season this year, since it is both springbreak time and Easter at the same time.

It does not matter how you twist it, you will be hard pressed to pay less than the above numbers. Flying to/from the big hubs helps.

It would be really helpful if you could add where you are in the US and where in Italy you need to go to. You would be getting more specific advice.

Buying a railpass is not a good idea in your situation, if you cannot afford the flight in the first place you’ll have trouble coughing up the 200 USD you need to pay for the Eurail-Italy pass. Plus Eurail pass sucks big time for Italy, since in most cases it is cheaper and easier to buy tickets off the counter like a European than to mark a day off your pass.

EDIT: I looked at your profile and saw that you are from Las Cruces New Mexico. If this is true, look for flights leaving from Phoenix (PHX), Houston (IAH) or Dallas (DAL, DFW) to Europe. Destination cities in Europe should be London, Frankfurt, Rome and Paris. Once you found a fare you can live with you can then look up connecting flights to your friends’ place on http://www.skyscanner.net

2nd EDIT: The above prices are total ticket prices and include taxes. Add the taxes to your 550 USD round trip and it won’t look that cheap. Check out http://www.ltu.com to Dusseldorf. From Denver look into flights to or via Amsterdam with Northwest and KLM. Also post a question in “Air travel”: Going from… to… in March. I took a quick look on kayak.com and the cheapest I found for some random dates in March from Denver to Rome was with American Airlines for 810 USD return including taxes. 800 USD is pretty much the standard fare to Europe (Rome, London, Frankfurt, Paris) from most airports in the US.

3rd Edit: I played around with skyscanner.net (Las Vegas to Europe) and found a fare of 780 USD, flying to Frankfurt on the 9th and returning to LAS on the 30th with Condor. Flights to a number of Italian cities from Frankfurt (FRA and HHN) would then be between 80 to 150 USD return.

what is the phone number of cebu pacific accounting department?

i’ve been trying to call the trunk line since last week but never had the chance to speak with the operator for the local number of the accounting office for a refund in airfare. thank you

Well, I’ve tried to look at their website.

Same as the previous answer, I really recommend that you visit their office personally because you can explain it much better that way instead through telephone. Oh yeah, try and look at their website, I might have overlooked something, or if you need other information.

Well, if an office is not near you. Why not try to ask from the ticketing office/travel agency where you bought your ticket. They might have information regarding your inquiry.

Winters are usually mild with few tourists and some fun events around Christmas time. During Holy Week, usually around Easter time, Catholics from around the world make pilgrimages to Rome’s various basilicas to hear the Pope give his address at the Vatican. On Good Friday, there is a procession of the Cross from the Colosseum to Capitoline Hill. Testaccio is the place to be in summer, when one of Rome’s best-preserved areas becomes a stomping ground for the young and hip. A festival of night clubs and general coolness goes down every evening from 10pm. Other summer festivals include Jazz at the Villa Celimontana and tropical music at the Foro Italico.

Where is it possible to find cheap airline tickets for military?

I’m at my wits end. We got stationed overseas and havent been home for 2 years cause we cant afford the airline tickets. we tried space-a but that didn’t work out at all. we cannot afford $2200 just on airline tickets but we’re oh so homesick!!! please if anyone has any legitimate advice on where to look. and please don’t say expedia, travelocity, orbitz,or cheaptickets because they’re all over 2000$!

Good luck in finding one. I am sure you won’t find anything cheap without being scammed. Space A is usually the cheapest way.

Airfare Auckland To London

A FEW TIPS AND WARNINGS FOR THE LONDON TRAVELER

If you find you need directions a cab driver or a newspaper vendor will be a good source for directions. If you are in a busy shopping area, you may find a policeman that will be able to point you in the right direction.

Black cabbies own their own vehicles, never leave garbage or food in their taxis. They take care of their cabs and take pride in the appearance so don’t make their working life harder. If your Cabbie is sociable, they can be a great source of information. Some black cab drivers will not pick up someone who is extremely drunk, and prefer that you do not smoke in their vehicle.

As of July 1, 2007, you are not allowed to smoke in restaurants, pubs, bars, the Tube, and in theaters. You will be issued a 200 pound fine if you violate this law. This also includes enclosed places where people work.

Become familiar with the local Tesco, Sainsbury’s, and M&S foods. These are grocery stores and you can purchase inexpensive snacks and lunches to take back to your room. This is a great, and more economical alternative to eating out every night.

If you plan on visiting London in the summer months, you will need to be sure the hotel you choose is equipped with a good air conditioning system. Many hotel rooms do not have enough cross ventilation and you may find you room unbearably stuffy and hot. When traveling the Tube, know that the temperature can be up to 10 degrees higher than outside. Wear layers of clothing you can peal off.

Don’t try to keep up with the locals when it comes to drinking alcohol. Drinking is a large part of the social culture in London, and British beer is stronger than US varieties. You should also know that the Imperial Pints served by the London pubs are 4 oz larger than the pints served in the US. Three British pints add up to 5 bottles of American beer.

When ordering in a restaurant or pub, you may signal by holding up 2 fingers for 2 pints. Whatever you do, make sure your palm is facing the waitress or bar maid. If the back of your hand is facing them it is the British equivalent to giving someone the finger.

If you come across an unattended bag or parcel, do not touch it. Call 999 the emergency help number, this is also true in any type of emergency where you require assistance. This number will also get you in touch with the police in an emergency, and obtain lifeguard assistance. This number can be accessed from any pay-phone. You may also dial 112 to harmonize with other European areas who use that number. If you dial 911 from a mobile it will be directed to the 999 number. 911 will not work on any pay-phone.

Take care when crossing the street, as cars in London are driven on the left side and Americans have had the phrase “Keep To The Right”, burned into their brain for years. It can be a bit confusing to you and London van drivers move quite fast down small side streets. Try to cross the street with a group and not alone.

Is there any real International courier jobs that you can actually get paid for ?

I remember when I worked for an airline years ago there where people who actually got paid to take certain items on international flights and got paid for it. I know there are many courier companies who want you to take pieces of luggage for them and only give you a discounted plane ticket. That IS NOT what I’m looking for. There has to be a service that will do International or even domestic courier services that pays the traveler , No?

According to the Simpsons there is. Bart gets a job as a courier to get back home to Springfield after Martin’s rental car is crushed by thousands of wigs. In life outside of the Simpsons, I think the closest you will find is a company like FedEx or DHL that has their own airlines for shipping.

Cheap Airfare and Student Discounts

For the college student finding the money to travel can be somewhat problematic. Anyone who’s been a poor college student know what this is all about but sometimes the opportunity to travel is important enough to override even the most budget conscious of college goers. But with money tight it is important to find cheap airfare and student discounts anytime you do try to travel.

Fortunately the vast majority of airlines do offer discounts for college students. How much the discount is is dependent on the airline and the type of deals they offer. In some instances airlines have been known to discount the student rate up to 70 percent off their normal price.

There are in fact many travel companies that offer discounted airfares and trips aimed at college students. In most cases these packages are not that flexible when it comes to choosing travel dates because the trip is part of a larger package set up just for students. There can be restrictions on round-trips and how many days between departure and return flights as part of these special packages.

Another good place to look are websites that specialize in student travel and discounted airfares. They specialize in one-way destination student airline tickets because many students are looking for this type of deal as they are unsure of when they may be returning. You can find a return trip option on many sites that provide a discount on an open ended schedule. This allows the student the opportunity to choose a return date after they have reached their destination.

Many of these websites are members only for students and they sell only to students who provide a valid student-ID. By becoming a member of this type of travel service one can find even bigger savings on airline tickets. These savings may change from month to month and can be dependent on when and where you wish to travel.

If you are attending college it can pay to know where to find cheap airfare and student discounts. By doing a little research you can easily find travel bargains that meet even the tightest of student budgets.

Online Airfare Booking

Know About Online Flight Booking in India

With the advent of online flight reservation, flights booking in India increased dramatically, acting like catalyst in a market dominated by the state-owned carrier, Indian Airlines (now Indian). With the repealing of the Air Corporations Act of 1953, Jet Airways showed the way, gaining scheduled airline status in January 1994. This opened the door for a new breed of domestic airlines, such as Air Sahara, Damania, and many others. Online flight reservation – with its wide-reaching connectivity, speed, as well as reliability – enabled airlines and ticketing agents to better communicate, and connected the consumer directly with the airline. This allowed airlines to correctly assess the burgeoning demand for domestic air-travel, resulting in the offering a larger number of flights across more destinations in India, for both business and leisure travellers. Ticketing-booking and management software such as Abacus, and international organisations like International Air Transport Association (IATA), further accelerated the process, providing quick, direct and reliable booking of flight tickets across an array of airlines in the world.

At present, there are over 11 major domestic airlines in India, together providing a vast network of flights across hundreds of destinations in India at economical rates. These include full service airlines such as Air India (India’s national flag carrier), Indian (India’s domestic flag carrier), Jet Airways (market leader), Kingfisher Airlines (UB owned airlines), Jagson Airlines (Pioneer of Air Taxi operations), MDLR Airlines (quality regional air service) and Alliance Air (state-owned), as well as cheap airlines like Air Deccan (India’s first low-cost carrier),  GoAir, IndiGo Airlines, JetLite (Jet Airways owned subsidiary), Spicejet Airlines, and Kingfisher Red (low cost subsidiary of Kingfisher Airlines).

India’s first low-cost carrier was Simplifly Deccan or Air Deccan, and is now known as Kingfisher Red. Air Deccan was formed in 2003, successfully capturing a hitherto untapped segment of the market, offering airfares that were level with railway prices. Air Deccan did all this with the vision to empower the Indian traveller, offering him the opportunity to fly at the lowest airfares to a large number of destinations across the country. Air Deccan showed the way for all low-cost carriers to come, such as the immensely successful Spicejet airlines, GoAir IndiGo Airlines, and JetLite. Air Deccan has recently been taken over by the UB Group, and in its new avatar as Kingfisher Red is based out of Bangalore International Airport, along with a secondary hub at Chennai International Airport.
