How to Get Dirt Cheap International Flight Tickets

No traveler would prefer spending a treasure on traveling to the popular tourist attractions of the world. With the fear of spending a huge amount of money on traveling, many people drop the idea of visiting to their favorite places around the world. To avail cheap flights and cheap international flights you have to be vigilant enough in finding where and how to find them.

Finding cheap flights is not a difficult task at all. With the help of internet anything and everything can be accessed online. You can check the airfares and discount offers that the online sites provide on cheap international flights. You can also get a lot of information about the popular tourist destinations and know about the hotels, restaurants and other visiting places near by the place that you want to visit.

There are many travel sites that give detailed information of all the flights that fly to your destinations and also the prices associated with it. You will get the opportunity to compare and choose cheap international flights. These sites have made booking online cheap flights very easy. You just have to enter the details like the destination name, your place of depart; date of travel etc and you will get a list of airlines that offer flights to that place. When you compare and choose flights to your desired destination you will be able to book cheap flights easily.

If you are in the belief that airlines always go for full booking then you are wrong. To fill up all the seats in a flight, airlines work with various consolidators. The consolidators then go on to sell these seats for a much lower price offering cheap flights. In order to cast such sales you have to search and find out such travel services companies that are specialized in offering cheap airfare and cheap flights to almost every part of the globe. If you browse the internet you will find a host of such sites where you can easily book your cheap international flights.

Booking a round trip is also a good idea for minimizing the travel expenditure. If you book a cheap international flight to a destination any where in the world, you should also try to book your return ticket at the same time in with the same airlines and with the same travel services company. This will help you to get dirt cheap international flights.

To avail cheap international flights and cheap airfare you should sometimes avoid traveling in direct planes to your destination. For example, if you want to visit London, you may find that direct flight might be costlier than indirect flights. That is you can travel to any other place in Europe and then take a take another flight, bus or taxi. This will reduce the cost drastically and you will be able to save a huge sum of money on traveling.

Airlines Struggling With Rising Fuel Costs

Airlines are struggling under the weight of the rising cost of fuel. To keep up with the rising cost, airlines have increased airfares. However, they have gone beyond raising airfares; they have introduced fees on services, which were at one time included in the cost of the airline ticket.

These fees for standard and optional services eat into the cost of traveling, and include such fees as carry-on bag fee, first checked bag fee, second checked bag fee, headphones, movies, alcohol, meals or snacks, beverage and the list goes on. The most surprising of all the fees is the infant on the lap fee. Using flying as the mode of transportation on family vacations will eat into your traveling budget because of the cost of airfare along with the additional fees for standard or optional services.

When you are comparison shopping for the lowest airfare, not only will you be asking about the price of the ticket itself, but you will also need to inquire about any of the additional fees you might be required to pay. You will be weighting the cost of certain services. If you are flying “red eye” and intend to sleep during the flight, you might want to know if there will be a charge for the use of a pillow and blanket. The same goes for a flight to the Orient, which can usually take close to 24 hours if not more; you, will know about the cost of meals or snacks plus the cost of beverages during the flight.

It might interest you to find out the additional charges will not be included with the price of your ticket, however additional fees are payable at the time of use. You will have no idea which of the additional charges you need to be prepared for. All airlines do not charge for all of the standard or optional services however when they do charge an additional fee, the fee will differ with each airline. Take for example on a flight out of Dallas, TX to Phoenix, AZ, only a few of the airlines charged for the first check-in baggage. On the second checked-in bag all the airlines charged a price. When it came to the meal/snack or beverages, only a few charged a price the majority did not. So the prices may not only vary by airline, but also by the flight. A longer flight may have more charges.

In their effort to compensate for the rising cost of fuel, the airlines have made traveling by air more difficult that it has been since 9/11. As you are making your travel plans, you will need to be aware of the standard and optional services the airline could charge addition fees for. If you normally check in a curbside, you might want to rethink that luxury because there could be an addition fee for curbside check in. You may want to make do with one large bag, however considering there is probably an addition fee for the overweight bag; two bags might be more economical. So how does the traveler find the best airfare for their money?

You will be happy to know there are services popping up on the Internet to help you sort through the mêlée of the standard and optional services fees. These websites like Compare Airline Fees will let you know what additional charges the airline is charging for your specific flight. Then when you go to someone like Priceline or Orbitz to look for an airline ticket price, you will know the additional charges you will be required to pay. This will help you get the best value for your traveling dollar.

Airfare Questions:

Seeking BEST website for buying airfare/airplane tickets?

There are so many travel-related websites, I feel overwhelmed! All I need is a low price on one round-trip airplane ticket between San Jose and Phoenix in late December. I do NOT need to combine it with hotel lodging, car rentals, etc., as I will be staying with cousins. :) I just need to save as much money as possible on airfare, but not get screwed or aggravated in the process. heh

Here are some of the websites I know of, although I have not yet researched airfare on any of them. So I’d love to know YOUR faves, whether they’re on this list or not. Also, please mention WHY the particular website has earned your positive recommendation. Thanks!!

Bookingbuddy.com, Cheaptickets.com, Expedia.com, Lowfares.com, Orbitz.com, Planetickets.com, Priceline.com, Sidestep.com, Travelocity.com, Travelzoo.com

My favorite is kayak.com because it gets fares from the major travel sites in one search, plus the usually cheaper airline-direct fares.

Where can I find cheap plane tickets from St. Louis to Buffalo?

I’m planning a trip in ’09 for me and possibly one other person as well.
Does anybody know where I can find cheap plane tickets from St. Louis, Missouri to Buffalo, New York????
It will be sometime between April and June of 2009.

You will have to wait a while to book flights for April-June of 2009. The major airlines will let you book about (just under) a year out. Southwest will probably have the best deal…but they only publish their schedule about six months out. Sorry I couldn’t be of more help…

The Details of Becoming a Lia Sophia Jewelry Advisor

Lia Sophia jewelry is perhaps the greatest professional decision I’ve ever made.  But before jumping into direct sales jewelry as a personal jewelry consultant, you need to know the details about getting started in Lia Sophia.

How Do I Sign Up?

To sign up as an advisor, you simply go to your advisor’s personal website (example: http://www.liasophia.com/haleypace) and click on the “Join Us” link.  When you come to the advisor agreement, it will ask you for a password.  The password is something you must obtain from your advisor, as she has set it.  Typically, it is the first five letters of her first name, in all caps.  (example: mine is HALEY).

The starter kit is $149 plus tax and shipping.  However, when you sign up in January, you will typically get $25 off your starter kit.  (January is a slow month for direct sales.)  You will pay for your starter kit online when you submit your advisor agreement.  You must pay with a credit or debit card at the time of signing up.  The kit takes about 10 days or less to ship to you.  Mine arrived in less than one week.

What’s In the Starter Kit?

The contents of the starter kit include: jewelry kit bag, two jewelry display trays (one inch), 20 current catalogs, 200 invitations, a quick start guide, a ring sizer, 6 hostess envelopes, a display cloth, 50 wish lists, 12 hostess selection and order summary sheets, 12 guest lists, and 50 customer selection tickets.  And, 24 pieces of jewelry valued at over $1000.  The supplies are enough to last you three to six shows.  The jewelry you get in the kit is more than worth the $149 cost of the kit.

How much are supplies through Lia Sophia?

Catalogs are normally $6.50 for a package of ten.  During the two months prior to the new catalogs coming out, lia Sophia typically offers a buy one package, get one package free special.  (There are two catalogs per year, one every six months; 30% of jewelry is taken out and 30% new jewelry is added.)

Invitations are $4.00 for a package of 100.  You can get them half off most of the time, however.  A stock list is only 25 cents.  Drawing slip pads for craft shows and fairs, etc are $3.00 for 500 slips.  Hostess and customer wish lists are $2.00 for a pad of 50.  Guest lists are $3.75 for a package of 12 (I make my own).  Customer selection tickets are $2.75 for a set of 50.

Supplies are very affordable through Lia Sophia.  As with any business, it’s important to keep your supplies cost low, so you take home more profit!

How Do I Get Started So That I’m Successful?

I recommend and Lia Sophia recommends doing their Excellent Beginnings.  This is a 15 week period starting from the day you sign up as an advisor.  I did this and earned $600 in free jewelry, plus got a GREAT start.

I cannot over-emphasize the importance of getting a good start.  By getting a good start, you are ensuring your business lasts.  You’re giving it a much greater chance of success.

To do this, I encourage you to schedule 6 shows within your first five weeks.

You simply ask 6 different people to host a show for you to get your business started.  Get them from different areas of your life: friend, family, church, work, acquaintance, neighbor, etc.  This gets you into 6 different networking circles—VERY important to your success.  And don’t be afraid to ask!  If they don’t want to, they’ll say no!  No big deal!

In your first five weeks of Excellent Beginnings, if you do $1500 in sales and three shows total, you get a $200 jewelry premium.  Same for the second five weeks and the third five weeks.  When you recruit someone who is qualified (does $1500 or more in their first five weeks, with three shows), you also get an additional $300 jewelry premium!)  This applies for your entire fifteen weeks and there is no limit when it comes to recruiting!  So go for it!

Is there Training Available?

Lia Sophia is awesome about providing training online.  Ongoing FREE web classes focus on hostess coaching, recruiting, selling, display techniques, the FREE vacation, and more.  In addition, you have the support of your up-line.  Never forget this support.  Your manager has been there and done that… talk to her for advice.  It is invaluable.

Conference is a great way to connect and learn, as well.  Conducted once a year in June, conference typically takes place in Milwaukee.

In addition, teams conduct quarterly rallies to help advisors learn even more.

What are the PERKS of being an Advisor?

As an advisor, you get 30% of your sales in profit.  For example, if you sell $1000 of jewelry in one month, you will make $300 in profit.  As a manager, you get 40% of your sales in profit.  So, if you sell $1000 of jewelry in one month, you will make $400 in profit.  Also as a manager, you get 10% of what your down-line sells!  Cha Ching!

You get 70% off the jewelry any time—a huge discount!  Also, you may order up to two hostess bonus items at any time.  These are amazing deals.  You can get any item out of the catalog, $100 or less, for only $15.

You also get monthly specials for doing well in sales.  I have gotten every one of these specials since I’ve been a part of lia Sophia.  They are not very hard to attain.  I’ve gotten free jewelry premiums (up to $100, sometimes more), nearly 80% off the jewelry, a leather mirror to use at my shows, FREE jewelry, and more.

And one of the BEST parts is, you get the chance to earn a FREE vacation every year!!!  This year it’s a Caribbean cruise!!! Next year it’s Cancun!!!  And it isn’t that hard to earn!  To earn a trip for one, you must sell $25,000 in jewelry and have $25,000 in new advisor sales.  To earn a trip for two, you must sell $45,000 in jewelry and have $45,000 in new advisor sales.  And by free, I mean FREE.  They pay for airfare, room and board, room service 24/7… it’s awesome!  And the rooms in Cancun have a Jacuzzi and are ocean-front!

Oh, and if you’re wondering, “What can I write off my taxes for my lia Sophia direct sales business,”  the answer is A LOT!  It’s important to be legitimate, but by running a business out of your home, many tax advantages exist.  I’m excited to see what our refund will be this year!

Airfare Perth To Adelaide

airfare perth to adelaide
[mage lang="en" source="flickr"]airfare perth to adelaide[/mage]

Take out a travel insurance Australia policy and then “She’ll be right mate”

Many Australians who take their holidays at home, without going overseas, and many business travelers zapping around the country between major cities would probably never stop to think about taking out an Australian travel insurance policy.  We tend to dart all over this massive continent of ours with such familiarity that driving from Adelaide to Melbourne or flying from Brisbane to Perth isn’t treated in our minds much different to walking down to the local shops. What could go so wrong, that travel insurance for Australians is needed?

Let’s have a think about it……

If you are in the north of the country, let’s say Darwin, and you have to get to a conference in Sydney, where you are booked into a five star hotel for the duration, have paid conference fees and airfares to get you there.  And there is a cyclone bearing down on you.  Lots of things to consider here – can’t leave the family on their own, all flights out of Darwin are canceled anyway, but your air tickets, hotel and conference fees are all non-refundable.   Whilst Australian travel insurance cover won’t make the hazards of the cyclone any easier to bear, it will more than likely compensate you for costs incurred for your canceled trip.

You could live in the outback, and have planned to take a cruise around the coast, but it has been raining for days, and isn’t going to stop quite yet.  The area is flooding, and you are marooned in your settlement, can’t drive anywhere and even if you could, no flights are leaving your local airport, or trains getting through.  So you can’t get to your cruise ship on time and it leaves without you.  Travel insurance Australia would take a bit of the dampness off and lift your spirits in terms of travel plan disruptions.

On a more serious note, travel in Australia is probably less risky than in other places around the globe, in terms of natural disasters, riots, security alerts etc, but there are still certain things that can go wrong.   There can be delays in travel for many reasons, which in turn may have knock on effects to the remainder of your travel plans and more often than not, travel plan changes incur extra costs.  Travel insurance Australia takes some of the sting out of these inconveniences and it really is prudent to take out a travel insurance policy before you set off on your journey.

Depending on the type of policy you invest in, travel insurance Australia covers  you for loss of baggage, rental car excess, disruption of journey, accidental death, family emergency and other incidents.  Should you be a frequent traveler, either for business or pleasure, there are Australian travel insurance companies who offer multi-trip policies, for domestic or international travel or both.  Multi trip insurance for Australians is a very economical way of taking out insurance cover when compared to travel insurance cover for individual trips.

An easy way to access the various types of cover available is to look online.  Most Australian travel insurance companies have websites  and there are some very competitive and cheap insurance policies available, particularly from those companies who deal directly with you, rather than through agents.

So don’t be complacent, and think just because you are staying “at home” during your journeying, everything will go according to plan.  Take out a travel insurance Australia policy and then “She’ll be right mate”.

Should I spend a lot of money to see Cristiano Ronaldo play in a game in England?

It would be about 1450 for the package in addition to 660 for the airfare. I might actually get to see him in person. The club has had that opportunity in the past, although it is not guaranteed. It’s in April – 2 games, or in May, 1 game.

Yesm I think it sounds like a fancy investment.

I sugest you go to the Man U West Ham game so that you can watch Ronaldo lift the trophy above his head!

Miami Nice: a Holiday that Ticks all the Boxes

Deciding where to go on that hard-earned holiday can lead the most laid-back and unfussy of people to crack under the sheer wealth of options there is to choose from.

Whilst factors such as price, climate, distance and availability will all play their in part in helping prospective holiday-makers narrow down their options, finding that one place that ticks all the boxes may not be as hard as at first seems.

For many, a coastal city with a high-chance of sunshine is the ideal location, given it offers the classic ‘sun, sand and sea’ break, set against a backdrop of a buzzing, bustling cosmopolitan conurbation. In short, it offers the best of both vacation worlds, ensuring boredom doesn’t have a chance to set in.

Indeed, Miami is one such city that manages to marry relaxation and exhilaration to create the perfect holiday hotspot.

Its ideal location on the south-east coast of America’s self-proclaimed ‘Sunshine State’ makes it the perfect place for those seeking to soak up some rays. Moreover, Miami’s winter temperature often reaches as much as 25 degrees Celsius, with its average annual temperature rarely falling below 20 or rising above 30. This ultimately means that the climate is fantastic for visitors any time of year, whether it’s an extended summer break or a short winter escape from the gloomy British weather.

Furthermore, Miami has mile upon mile of sandy beaches to enjoy the year-round sunshine. Although Miami Beach is technically a city in its own right, its proximity to Miami city means it is often unofficially incorporated into the Miami city region. Miami Beach happens to be home to South Beach, which is a buzzing district offering an array of nightclubs, restaurants and hotels, not to mention some fabulous stretches of beach too.

Miami may be a US city, but more than 65% of the population are Hispanic, meaning that you are more likely to overhear a conversation in Spanish than in English. The city’s close proximity to Cuba has resulted in many Cuban exiles arriving in Miami since Fidel Castro’s rise to power in 1959. The western side of the city has come to be known as ‘Little Havana’ due to the massive influx of Cubans, and today the district is a mesmerising mix of Cuban eateries and a Hispanic flavour that is unmatched anywhere else outside of Latin America.

Of course, in a city as vibrant and culturally diverse as this, Miami flights arrive from all over the Americas and Europe, with flights to Miami taking around nine hours from London Heathrow.

The city’s international airport is among the busiest in the world and it’s easy to see why. With so much sun, sand, sea and culture, there can be little doubt that Miami is the perfect place for prospective holidaymakers seeking to cover all bases.
