Discount Airfare to Europe: Watch Out for Hidden Costs
Most young travelers as well as those on a tight budget want to travel on a discounted airfare to Europe. There are many budget as well as discount airfares available in nearly all European countries, and the competition too is pretty stiff among individual players. There may be some advantages to discount airfare Europe travel; however, there are certain disadvantages to choosing this form of travel.
Be Prepared for Hassles
Even though discount airfare to Europe may seem attractive, be prepared to go through many more hassles that are often hidden from the passengers. With nearly all European countries having their own no frill-budget airlines, the costs are certainly low (ridiculously so) and discount airfare in Europe can mean flying almost for free, though you do have to pay airport tax.
The hassles begin when you realize that the discount airfare Europe flight actually emanates from small provincial towns located many miles away from the main cities. Not only does it add to travel time, but your cost of traveling will also go up, which means that you have to add this cost to your discounted fare and then you would need to comparison shop among different discount airfare European offers.
Another point you need to consider when choosing discount airfare in Europe is what would happen should you misses your flight. It would mean extra cost in the form of a hotel stay. Also, once you do get on board a discounted airfare European flight don’t expect any in-flight service and you may have to pay for whatever you eat or drink during the flight and that too at premium rates. If you even want coffee, sandwiches or beer be prepared to pay exorbitant prices. This may not inconvenience you too much as most flights only last an hour or two and you can easily do without onboard eating and drinking.
Discount airfare within Europe is meant to attract as many travelers as possible and so many things are cut down on, or dispensed with. For example, the quoted fares may only apply to APEX travelers and there may be more to pay if you change your flight time. These low cost fares are generally only low if you book well in advance. If you buy immediately prior to departure or a few days before, the price will go up and you won’t be able to also carry a lot of baggage either as the allowances are on the low side.
No doubt, discount airfare in Europe can be cheap, but you have to consider the many trimmings in your freedom to travel. Add all hidden costs and factor in added travel time as well; you may find a difference to your original estimate. Also, make sure that you compare these fares against the normal and less restricted airfare before making your final choice.

Get Intimate With Asia: Travel To Korea
South Korea is one of the smaller nations in Asia, with a size comparable to the state of Indiana. What it lacks in size it makes up for in abundant culture, turbulent history, exquisite cuisine and a generous and welcoming society.

A Little Background before You Travel to Korea
The Korean peninsula has been literally and figuratively stuck between a rock and a hard place, namely Japan and China, for most of its existence. The region was prosperous under the three kingdoms of Goguryeo, Baekje and Silla during the first four centuries AD until the Mongolians raided the land and built an empire. The 16th century brought the end of the Mongolian Empire and the beginning of a massive game of tug-of-war between China and Japan over the strategic landmass. After World War II Korea finally broke free from Japan, with the USSR managing the North and the United States occupying the South. Today the North and South are two sovereign nations separated by a demilitarized zone. South Korea is officially known as the Republic of Korea (ROK) and commonly referred to simply as Korea.
There’s Still Soul in Seoul
Despite the fact that Seoul was largely burned to the ground during the Korean War (1950-53), the northern part of the capital city is still home to hundreds of spectacular palaces and shrines. The Chosun Dynasty’s Gyeongbokgung Palace is a 5.4 million square foot landmark with a 500-year history and stands among the remaining four palaces in Seoul. Nearly an entire day is necessary to explore the regal palace in all its magnificence. The Jongmyo Royal Shrine is a perfect next stop, as it was where the Chosun Dynasty worshipped. On the first Sunday of May each year a traditional memorial ceremony is held at the Shrine with all the grandeur of the occasion 500 years past.
The southern part of Seoul is the commercial center of the city and boasts a fascinating blend of traditional and hyper-modern architecture. It is also home to World Cup Stadium, intricately weaving shopping streets and even an amusement park, Lotte World. Make sure to visit the city gates, and then venture beyond into the strikingly lush and green landscape to travel Korea more personally.
When to Travel to Korea
Korea has a temperate clime, which results in heavier rain in the summer months (July and August) and a drier winter. Winter is white and snowy all over Korea and the ski season from November to March is extremely popular. There are 13 ski resorts in South Korea alone! After a day on the slopes it is common to relax in one of the many spas with natural hot spring baths. Summer is extremely crowded and very wet in Korea. For milder weather it is best to travel Korea in the spring or fall.
Traveling to South Korea any time of year is sure to be an exciting and rewarding experience, regardless of the weather!

Airfare Promotion Codes
airfare promotion codes
[mage lang="en" source="flickr"]airfare promotion codes[/mage]
Find Bargains with a Promo Code
Just when you thought shopping online was great it got even better. Top name-brand companies have taken to advertising online with a promo code. Whether you are shopping for clothes at Old Navy, shoes at Payless, or a BBQ grill at Target, you are certain to find a coupon online.
Promotional Codes Offer a Win-Win for Consumers and Stores
Our economy is not all that hot right now. Consumers are trying to save money where they can. More people are clipping coupons, bargain hunting and shopping online than ever have before. This phenomenon has made business rethink their advertising strategy.
Businesses know that consumers want a good deal and are willing to do a little extra work to get it. Therefore, many of the top brands have shifted their advertising budget to include the promo code. With these codes, consumers can save on everything they buy from shoes, to photos, to broadband service and in fact anything else you can consider.
How the Codes Work
Consumers looking to save a few bucks need only to go online and do a Google search for promo codes. Of course, this would bring up thousands of pages offering all kinds of discounts.
For more effective searching, it is best to either search for the brand like Verizon, the store like Old Navy, or the item like cell phone. Combining the brand, store or item with promo code, promotion code or coupon code will practically guarantee pages upon pages of codes for immediate use.
The consumer only needs to select the code and purchase the item for it to work. In most cases, clicking the code will take you directly to the website where the code is automatically entered.
Travelers Can Cash in on Codes As Well
Before you start thinking the codes are only good for products, they are good for services too. Travel sites like Orbitz and Travelocity offer travel coupons for a wide variety of things including airfare, hotel and rental cars. It is not unusual to find a code that greatly reduces the price of a rental car or makes it free with purchase of the airline ticket.
It wasn’t all that long ago that Enterprise was offering a code for $10 a day rental cars Monday through Thursday.
What’s the Catch to All the Codes?
Like everything in life, there is a tiny catch. These promotion codes are a limited time offer. Therefore, you might do a search and find Verizon giving away a free netbook with purchase of a triple pack, but alas it expired in April. (Verizon did offer a free mini netbook and it really did expire in April.)
Therefore, when you start your search for the great bargains that a promo code can offer, you need to check the expiration date. In most cases, if a code does not work, this is the cause. If this happens to you, don’t worry too much. Just keep looking and you are sure to find a code that matches your shopping needs.

Get Organized For An Enjoyable Golf Trip
The goal of a golf trip—aside from beating your golf handicap—is having fun with your friends. In fact, there’s no sense in going on a trip if it’s not going to be fun. Admittedly, this can be hard to do sometimes even when you’re with great people. To enjoy a golf trip fully, you must prevent delays, minimize costs, and eliminate the unexpected as much as possible. That takes a great deal of planning.
Planning a golf trip takes work—just like cutting strokes from your golf handicap. But if you’re smart about it, you can plan your trip efficiently and without pulling too much hair out of your head. You just need to think. Below are some golf tips on planning a trip. Following them will help you get the most fun out of your trip and let you focus on making pars and birdies, not tracking down wayward luggage.
Good Logistics Are The Key
Good logistics are the key to a successful trip. That and staying organized. Start by thinking ahead about where you’re heading and what’s unique about the place. Think about what could go wrong while there—inclement weather, extreme heat, and so on—and plan for these things before walking out your front door. Make a list of them. Then address them before you leave on your trip. That will save you time, money, and headaches later on.
Next, work the trip chronologically in your head. List the things you need to do. Keep the list on your nightstand, where you can see it all the time. Check off an item every time you complete it. The list will keep you focused and organized. Also, use the Internet whenever you can to resolve issues, obtain reservations, or eliminate delays. Using the Internet is not only convenient, but also fast. It’s also cost effective. Many companies offer discounts for doing things online.
Buying Plane Tickets
The first thing you’ll want to do is buy plane tickets, if needed. Here’s where your computer comes in handy. Buy tickets as far in advance as you can. Also, sign up for price saver-e-mails from all the airlines as well as from discounters, like travelzoo.com Monitor them regularly for deals to where you’re going. In addition, visit all-encompassing travel search engines, like kayak.com or airfarewatchdog.com. They may have deals to your destination.
Next, book your hotel. Use your computer for this, too. It’s a great travel agent. Consider using professional tour operators for international trips, like perry.com or havarsham.com. They usually have contacts and/or employees at popular golf destinations. If you know where you want to stay, take a look at the hotel’s Web site. They might offer golf stay-and-play specials. Some resorts will even book your tee times over the Web, especially if you’ve signed up for a stay and play package. They may even offer golf lessons for a reduced rate.
Check Out The Golf Courses
If you’ve already decided on a destination in the United Sates, visit golflink.com. This site has links to nearly every golf course in the U.S. Use the site to assemble a list of courses. Then visit the Web site of any courses you’re planning to play. Write down the names, addresses, and phone numbers of these courses. Take the information with you. Or, plug the information into your cell phone and keep the cell phone with you on the trip. The information is good to have in an emergency.
Contacting a book agent in the destination area also works. It will save you the hassles of calling different places. The agent might also have pre-reserved tee times or the clout to squeeze you in exactly when you want to play. Google an agent by searching your destination plus the words “tee times booking agents.” Unfortunately, some agents work only with certain courses. And the agent will charge you a nominal fee. But the time saved and the headaches eliminated could be well worth the cost.
Buying your plane tickets. Reserving accommodations. Booking tee times. These are probably the top three items of any golf-trip checklist you create. After that, it depends on you and what you want to do on the trip. Above all, stay organized. It saves time, money, and heartburn. More importantly, it lets you focus on cutting strokes from your golf handicap, rather than trying to find your luggage.Â

Florida Vacation

Disney World Florida Vacation Rental Villa – Private Pool
Going on a Florida vacation to Disneyworld and Universal Studios?
Im 13 and my family and I are going on a vacation to florida soon. We only have 4 days there so we are wondering where we should go?
We definetly want to go to Disneyworld. How many days should we spend there?
Also, what parks are the best to go to, if we cant go to all of them?
We are wondering if its worth going to Universal Studios. Is it fun there? How long should we be there?
I’ve never been to Florida before, so is there anything else we want to do??
Thanks everyone!!!
Four days is not enough to do everything, so you will need to pick and choose. Now personally, if I had four days, I would spend them all at Disney. But here are your options.
Disney is a huge complex. Four days will give you a chance to go to each of the main four parks for one day. Or you could skip one park and spend two days at one of the big parks. It takes about 2 days for Magic Kingdom, 1 or 1.5 days for Epcot, 1 day for Hollywood Studios, and 1 day for Animal Kingdom. You could possibly combine Hollywood Studios and Animal Kingdom into just 1 day, but that is pretty rushed for a first-time visitor. So either skip a park, or know that you just won’t do it all at Magic Kingdom and Epcot.
I think Magic Kingdom is the best park because it is the most magical, with all the classic Disney rides plus some great new ones, plus some good thrill rides, plus the most stuff to do overall. If I had to skip a park, it would definitely be Animal Kingdom. It’s basically a really nice zoo with a couple good rides and shows. If you don’t need the zoo experience, skip it. If you are a super animal lover, you’ll like it. Hollywood Studios has the 2 best thrill rides on property, plus some great movie-related rides and shows. I would definitely see it. And Epcot is very unique and I really enjoy it, but a lot of the fun of it is exploring and interacting. It’s not necessarily a run from ride to ride type of park. So if that doesn’t appeal to you, you might want to do it another trip.
Universal has 2 parks – Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure. Islands has some great thrill rides but is a small park. Universal has a greater variety of rides and some good shows, and will take about a day. I like both parks, but like I said, I personally would just stick to Disney this trip.
You might want to pick up a Disney guidebook and/or an Orlando guidebook, and also, this website is great. It is designed for Disney, but it also has a good section on Universal to help you decide what you would like best. http://www.allearsnet.com
With only 4 days, I wouldn’t try to see anything else in the area.
