My husband is flying out from Dubai to Manila by July. We’re short of funds but he needs to come home for my baby.
I read in some sites that there is even a cheaper deal than those posted on the web by the airlines. Would it be cheaper if we book through the airline directly or through the travel agents? We plan to purchase the tickets as early as now. Should we just walk in to the travel agents’ office/ airline office or search through the web sites?
I would suggest booking ANY travel online, instead of going to a Travel Agent. Going directly to the airlines website is better than going to the airlines in person. Booking travel online is cheaper.
There are many travel sites and the best advice would be to compare prices with as many sites as you can. Don’t just rely on those “major” sites, most are owned by the same company (not much difference in pricing) However, if those are the ONLY sites you visit – you may never know there are better deals available.

In the days when gas cost 25 cents a gallon, it was an easy decision which was the cheaper method of travel, flying or driving. Driving was the standard mode of transportation, and flying was a luxury. However, with airlines in a cutthroat competition for customers, and gasoline becoming increasingly expensive, this may no longer hold true under all circumstances. The economy of both options should be evaluated for each planned trip. Don’t assume that flying is the most expensive option, especially if you use the following tips to get the cheapest fares.
In order to figure out how much gas you’ll need to reach your destination, find out the mileage both ways and then use an online fuel consumption calculator. that is probably too cold, plus it would probably be dark in the winter….i would recommend going to Hawai, South America, Mexico, or the Caribbean, so it would be warmer. you could drive to the cruise port so the airfare wouldn’t cost as much, although we always fly. If you drove, it would take a lot longer. Also, I recommend if you want to go with the best cruise line, go with Royal Caribbean.
