The making of an in-flight meal
An airline meal can range from basic to excellent – depending on what kind of ticket you have. Marie-Claire Digbyvisited the Gate Gourmet catering kitchens at Dublin Airport to find out what’s on the menu
does anyone have any wedding information for the Aegeon hotel in Athens, Attica – Greece – planning for summer
Planning a summer wedding in Greece and want to know whether this is a good spot to go. Also, wondering if the church located near the hotel is still available for the ceremony. If not, are there any greek orthodox churches close to the hotel for the ceremony. Thanks.
Below are some links to the Aegeon Hotel. The location is idyllic for the wedding and close to Sounion Cape. However, if you are planning for a wedding you have to make arrangements well in advance because the the churches are not available like Reno style.
So, make plans and get in touch with the hotel people to get some of the arrangement under way from now.
If however, you have people here who can do that get in touch and also get moving.
BTW. In getting married I would not be in a hurry myself. lol.
I’ve been there for 35 years.
What is a website that will help me find the cheapest airfare to random cities?
I’m a spontaneous traveler and I want to search for the cheapest airfare to random cities from Orlando, but all the websites I have found make you enter a destination, I want to just look at the fares for all cities.
I am looking for cheap discount travel from Denver to Tokyo?
I want my mom to come visit to see my new baby girl sometime around spring next year. If its the other way around I could get tickets from Tokyo to Denver for 700 dollars total. But that is through an awesome travel agency I found here. I have checked expedia, hotwire, orbitz ect.. without any success. Is their any other place travel agency or (anywhere!!) that I can find good discount travel? And what would be a cheap time to fly. Thanks for he help!!
I have had pretty good luck with the following sites:

Regarding when is a cheap time to travel, airlines usually offer some nice sales in January.
Exploring Ecuador — sans the Galapagos Islands
No offense against the Galapagos Islands. Home to giant tortoises, blue-footed boobies, marine iguanas and other exotic creatures, the archipelago off Ecuador’s coast ranks for me — and many other travelers — among the top places to visit before I die.
I was looking for flights from Los Angeles to London, in sept of next year, and noticed that the airfare is throw the roof? I understand that during the summer time prices tend to go up, but it doesn’t make sense that tickets are 1,300 round-trip around Sept. Don’t understand what’s going on, help?
If you haven’t flown for a while – welcome to the 21st century….
Airplanes use lots of fuel to cross the ocean. With current oil prices it costs them a lot more to operate the flight than before.
The good news is – you’ve got plenty of time ahead of you (oh, and in recent month or so oil prices did drop a bit, so keep your fingers crossed).
Airlines are known to fluctuate the fares quite a bit, and between now and september you may be able to grab a great deal. The trick is to check your favorite travel site for fares every day. Sometimes they would drop the fares for one day only, sometimes even for a few hours.
Another good news – there are plenty of flights from LAX to LHR, so competition is good. Which means if one discount airline comes up with a low fare on sale for a few days, chances are one or more major airlines will match that. They regularly do. So keep your eyes open, and keep checking.
Also check out nearby dates. Flying during the week (Tuesday – Thursday) can save you a hundred or two. But the main thing is – keep on checking. With all the time you’ve got at your disposal you should be able to grab a fare of under or just over $1000, unless something major happens in the world that would send the fares up or down steeply, which is also not unheard of.
